LOGAN'S POV
"Logan..."
"Logan...are you even listening to me?" My mum asks and I sigh dropping my phone down
"I hear you, I don't just like what you are saying so i'm ignoring it" I say and she glares at me
"Don't act that way with me" she says and I can't help but roll my eyes
"Act what way? I have other things to do so can you get straight to the point? Why did you call me here?" I ask, tucking my phone into my pocket
"Do you really have to be like this? Do you find it so hard to stay here for even 5 minutes?" She asks with a frown
"I'll take my leave now if you didn't call for any reason" I say already getting up and I hear her sigh
"Take your sit, I didn't call for nothing" she says and I sit back
"Be quick then, I have plans" I say
"Plans? To what, waste your life away?" She ask
"No, to shoot myself once I leave here and then jump off a building to really make sure I die" I answer
"I don't understand why you're like this, what has made you like this. Your father and I..."
"He's not my father. Your husband is not my father" I correct
"And who is your father then? That good for nothing man? Peter has been more of a father to you than that man ever was" she says and I scoff
"Is that what you tell yourself? That you provided me with a better father? Is that it?" I ask, running low on the ability to keep my anger at bay
"I did provide you with a better father and if you want to be an ungrateful brat about it then that's not on me" she says and I can't help but laugh
"How you manage to say the stupidest shit every time I see you is unbelievable. Do..." I trail off as her palm connects with my cheek, leaving behind a sharp sting from her slap
"I am your mother and I will not have you speak to me like that, do you hear me?" She says and I scoff in disbelief
"Wow. You know, since you're so good at finding better fathers for me, could you find a better mother too? I'd love that" I say
"Logan..."
"I'll be leaving now" I say, getting up and I don't make it out the door before she speaks
"That girl, the one living with you. How is she?" She asks and I turn to her
"She's fine. Is it time for her to move out yet?" I ask and she frowns
"She'll move out when I tell you it's time for her to move out" she says
"Are you testing me?" I ask
"Look, it's just for a couple months so don't act out. The only reason she is there is as a means to gain the director's favor, you know how he is with charity" she says and I say nothing, simply letting her go on "Your father is planning a party on the eve of Christmas and everything will be sorted out by then"
"So she's some charity case to you both?" I ask, unable to even feign surprise
"Of course. What else?" She asks
"Typical of you both to use humans as though they were objects. I won't be a part of that nonsense"
"You already are a part of it. Technically, we are doing her a favor otherwise she might very well be living on the streets" she says
"Doing her a favor?"
"Yes, doing her a favor. Have you forgotten she has nowhere to go? Instead of being useless and an unnecessary burden, she might as well help us out too" she says
"I told you already, I won't be a part of this nonsense. If that is the reason she's with me, then you better take her away but as long as she's with me, I won't let you use her as a pawn" I tell her firmly
"Don't be so sentimental, it's not like she means anything to you anyways" she says and I nod
"But she means something to you and you know how I hate to see you both happy. If she's going to be the reason you guys get that contract you want so bad then I'll stop it."
"Logan..."
"I'll be leaving now, have a good day" I say before walking out the door and shutting it behind me

It's a short one. Just trying to add in some context into Star's stay with Logan as well as Logan's relationship with her parents.
