STAR'S POV

"I don't want to hear about that nonsense one more time. I really don't want to get upset" I hear Logan's voice from the kitchen as I come down the stairs and I can't help but frown in confusion

Does she have a guest here?

"Don't call again, please" I hear her say again as I enter the kitchen and I see her hang up just then, now tapping away at her phone

I wonder what that was about.

"Morning" I say quietly as I go to stand by the island and like I expected, she doesn't look away from her phone and neither does she respond.

I guess she's still upset with me about yesterday.

She does seem like one to hold a grudge.

"Morning" I repeat louder and she stops typing for a second

"Please don't annoy me, I'm really not in the mood" she says before going on

"I'm not trying to annoy you, I just said good morning is all" I say and she says nothing, making me frown

"Why are you being like this? Are you just going to ignore me?" I ask, walking closer to her

"Is there something you need?" She asks and somehow my brain erases the coldness of her voice when she speaks

"Your attention please" I say

"Sorry I ran out of those" she says still not looking at me

"Are you still upset about yesterday? I didn't mean to..." I start and I don't even get to finish as she lets out an irritated sigh before getting up from the stool and walking out of the kitchen

"You're just going to walk away?" I ask, following after her

"Star, please I beg you, leave me alone" she says before continuing to go up the stairs, her eyes on her phone

Who the hell is she texting anyways?

"I will but can you just give me 5 minutes of your time to talk?" I ask, quickly going to stand in front of her and stopping her journey up the stairs and she doesn't even look at me, simply going on with the text

"5 minutes" I say, snatching her phone out her hands and I nearly shrink on the spot when she looks up at me with the most glaring eyes

"I...um"

"Give me back the phone" she says

"I will but can you just listen to me first?" I ask, swallowing the fear that creeped up my spine and she doesn't say anything and instead tries to take the phone away but I quickly move my hand, the phone slipping out my hand at the same time and landing on the floor.

Fuck.

"I'm...sorry" I say as she picks the phone up and simply walks past me but I quickly hold her hand, stopping her

"I really am sorry... I didn't mean..." I trail off with a gasp as she pushes me back against the railing of the stair, holding me in between and I gulp at the cold eyes that hold my gaze

"What the fuck is your problem?"

"Logan..."

"Don't act like we're friends, do you understand me? You're annoying and you irritate me so much and I really hate having to deal with you everyday" she says and I remain tongue tied at the words out her mouth and how cold they sounded

"I really can't stand you and your stupid, bubbly attitude so please stop meddling in my life and acting like we are that close cause we're not. Do me a favor and please get your life back together so you can get the fuck out of here" she says with such a scornful glare on her face that goose bumps crawl up my skin and I can't help how quickly my eyes fill with tears.

Her words stung and hurt so badly it felt like I had been thrown off a building and while falling, I had gotten stung by a thousand bees.

That those words had come from her, hurt even more.

Her, who I have come to like so much. Who I have come to consider a friend.

It seems I have been delusional all these while.

Obviously, she hates my guts.

"Right, I'm sorry" it's all I can say before she walks away up the stairs, the door to her room slamming loudly not long after she goes down the hallway and I simply sit on the stair there, wiping away the tears that seemed ever ready to flow as her words replayed in my head.

God, I'm stupid.
