I know nothing crazy has happened in the book yet but I just want to try giving some context to their relationship and build it up a bit before causing any dramas and the sorts.

STAR'S POV
"Yes, Mrs Kingsley, I promise I'm taking care of myself" I say, putting my legs up on the couch as I kept my phone pressed to my ear
"Please do. You didn't call for 2 days now and I got so worried" she says
I didn't call cause I wasn't feeling too well and I was so sure that the moment I call, she'd figure that out and then she'd worry like she always does.
"I'm sorry, I just got really busy and it skipped my mind. I promise I'll call all the time okay?" I say
"Alright love. You're not sick are you?" She asks and I shake my head no
"Not at all. As healthy as ever" I assure with a chuckle "Don't worry too much okay?"
"Call then, so I don't worry" she says and I nod
"I will, promise. Have you been fine?" I ask, realizing we've been talking about me since the call began
"Yes dear. I received the money you sent by the way, thank you my love" she says and a smile pulls at my lips
"It's alright"
"I hope you're not overworking yourself right? You really don't have to send me anything if you're struggling on your own" she says
"I'm not, promise. And even if I am, so what? You're worth it. If I don't take care of you, who will?" I ask
"Dear..."
"I promise it's fine. Everything will be really good soon, I promise so don't worry okay? I basically don't spend money on food or other necessities so it's alright to send some money to you, it's not a problem" I say
"Who is it you are living with again?" She asks and I can hear the worry in her voice
"She's a friend. Her name's Logan and she's letting me stay with her for a while before I figure things out. She's really, really really really really nice and kind and she's really sweet and doesn't complain about me staying with her."
"Are you sure baby? You know you can come stay with me right?"
"I know Mrs Kingsley but don't worry alright? Logan's taking very..." I trail off as I hear the front door open and shut and turn to see the subject of my conversation taking off her jacket "good care of me" I complete quietly as she walks away to the kitchen, not even bothering to say hi
"Promise? She's not mean right?"
"Not at all, she's the nicest. She's letting me stay without collecting a penny remember?" I chuckle, trying to reassure her
"That's true. I'd like to talk to her sometime okay? Have her number if possible" she says
Yeah I don't think that's possible.
"Um...well maybe next time. She's not around right now" I say and as if on cue, she walks out the kitchen and settles on the couch beside me, her eyes on her phone
