Don't know where I stand

At this point I was high. Higher then the muhfuckin stars. And me Jah and them were just talking about weird shit.

"I'd totally live with you guys." I said looking around

"Same we'd be the black hood version of team 10." Lucas said making everyone laugh

"For real." I said

"Hey Scarlet wanna leave the state next week?" Jah asked me

"What! No."

"But you said that you wanted to get out of here." He asked confused

"I know but I just can't."

"Whatever hit me up when you change your mind."

"Ou they finna fuck." Ski said making everyone laugh

I looked around as my cheeks turned a slightly bright pink.

"It's not even like that." I spoke up

"Sure it isn't." He said

"I should go it's getting late." I said

"It's 5:09." Lucas commented

"I know it's still late."

"How about you stay here till 6." Jahseh said

"Um sure." I gave in

Then everyone cheered.

"Whatever."

"O M goodness guys she's like a baddie now." Ski said in his white girl voice causing me to laugh the hardest

"Shit! It's finna be 103 degrees tomorrow." Isaiah said

"Dang. We should go to the pool." Lucas said

"Yeah cause you know Florida got some baddies in it." Ski said rubbing his hands together

"You and bout to pull nobody." Jah said

"Man shut up that's why your teeth look like bugs bunny 'iss wabbit season' headass fuck outta here."

They went back and forth with roasts it was sad but funny. I got up and walked into Jahseh's room cause I was tired. I fell asleep to the smell of his bed. Oh my goodness I sound like a weirdo.

*The next day/Jahseh's POV*

I got off the couch and walked into my room. I didn't but I should've slept with her but it's cool. I walked into my room to grab some clothes when I walked in she was still sleep. She was so pretty so I don't know how people could be treating her like the way she says they do. But anyway I grabbed the clothes out of my drawer and tried to walk into my bathroom without waking her up. But I heard a slight shuffle and looked back at her running her eyes.

"Good morning." I said

"Morning?!" She jumped

"Yeah."

She quickly got out of bed and got tangled up in the sheets be hopping out. She reached in her back pocket to pull out her phone.

"No!!!" She whined

"Calm down shorty what's wrong?"

"What's not wrong?" She said showing me her phone and the hundreds for texts she missed from her parents. She just kept scrolling and scrolling for a good 3 minutes.

"I gotta go!" She said leaving the room

"Bye Scarlet!" I yelled

"Bye." She yelled

*Scarlet POV*

I ran back home and finally arrived. I walked into them in the living room drinking coffee.

"Scarlet Tia Maden?!" My Dad yelled

"I'm sorry I just got tired and slept over."

"Did you not see or hear our calls and texts?" Emily asked

I kept quiet. Then Dad walked to stand in front of me.

"Scar, we tried t-" He stopped mid sentence

He picked a pice of my shirt and sniffed it.

"We're you smoking?" He asked

"No people outside were."

"Where outside?"

"Outside of Broward."

"What're you doing down there?"

Dad didn't like me going there shoot hid didn't like going down there either. I knew it was a dangerous and I did too but that's where my friend lived so.

"I knew we shouldn't have let her out." Emily said

"Sorry Emily." He said

"What friend was this anyway a boy?" He asked

"Yes but it wasn't fine cause it wasn't just him." I said

"Like who other boys?" He asked irritated

"Yes."

"Scarlet you're not going back there I hope you know that."

I sighed and went upstairs to get ready for school.

*At school*

I walked to my locker still mad about my dad and Emily. Ski came to the left and Jah came to the right.

"Hey Scarlet." Ski said

"Hi."

"What's wrong?"

"Her parents mad cause she spent the night."

"Oh. Damn. Are you still coming to the pool today?" He asked

"I don't know Stokely?" I said walking away

*Lunch*

I was the last one to walk to our table where we always sit. I sat down and everyone stared at me.

"What?"

"We came up with a plan to take you to the pool."

"It's not even that deep like that."

"Yes it is so here's the plan you text me the address and come to your window on some repunezle shit and Ski will be waiting in the car and we'll get in and viola we're at the pool!" He explained

"What make you think I have a window?"

"You don't have a window?"

"I do but just saying. But I don't think I can do this." I said

"Come on live a little." He said nudging me

"I'll think about it."

"Noooo I need a yes or no now so I know wether to come or not."

"Sure Jah sure." I said getting up to leave the cafeteria
