TORIE
Never really looked. I heard the last one's the hardest to find.
SAVANNAH
We should go hunting for them one day.
TORIE
Yeah. You know, I've lived here my entire life and there's so much I haven't seen. It would be nice to take a trip around town before we're off to UCLA.
SAVANNAH
I haven't heard back from them yet.
TORIE
I applied for early admission. You'll probably get yours in the next few days. They'd be crazy not to accept you.
Savannah's concerned, but smiles it off.
INT. MALL LOBBY – DAY
Abram and Flynn watch Tristen flirt with a girl at a smoothie kiosk.
FLYNN
Do you think he has to give himself a pep talk, or does he just...
He makes a diving gesture with his hand.
ABRAM
The key is to embrace the possibility of rejection.
Sees a group of girls.
ABRAM (CONT'D)
There you go. Give it a shot.
FLYNN
What? No. I don't need to talk to girls. I have Clarke.
He digs in his shirt and takes out a chain with Clarke's ring on it.
ABRAM
The whole point of a ring is so you don't have to wear a necklace.
FLYNN
I have skinnier fingers. It kept slipping off.
He drops it back behind his shirt. Abram notices a guy walking into the game store.
ABRAM
Okay, what about that guy? Stranger today, Fortnite squad member tomorrow. He could very well be your new partner in crime.
FLYNN
Wait, you play Fortnite? Why didn't I know this?
ABRAM
Your changing the subject on purpose.
FLYNN
I can't just go up to some random stranger and start a conversation. I feel awkward.
ABRAM
How do you expect to meet people?
FLYNN
College?
Tristen joins them.
ABRAM
So how'd it go? Did you ask her to Prom? That's what, your fourth date now? Someone's not going to fit in the limo.
TRISTEN
Why can't I just talk to a girl without people insulating what the conversation is about?
ABRAM
Oh right. You're still holding out for Savannah.
FLYNN
You like Savannah? I thought Vance liked Savannah. Or was it Eric? I'm confused.
ABRAM
Imagine how she feels.
TRISTEN
We're just friends. At least we were. Now she won't even talk to me. I messed up. I know that, but I don't want her to see me as the bad guy.
FLYNN
Just give her some space. I'm sure she'll come around.
ABRAM
It would also help if you don't flirt with every girl you come in contact with. Just saying.
