EXT. PARKING LOT – NIGHT
The crowd has migrated to the parking lot to continue celebrating. Torie, Savannah, Mo, and Shae hang around. Torie turns to Savannah.
TORIE
So, how'd it feel?
SAVANNAH
You mean aside from falling on my face?
MO
All that matters is you got back up.
SHAE
I had my doubts, but...you were a superstar tonight.
SAVANNAH
Only because the three of you make me look good.
MO
True.
They laugh as Jaxson comes over.
JAXSON
Ladies, that was epic. Ya'll got to teach me those moves so I can be on the court like...
He demonstrates.
TORIE
You're ridiculous.
Savannah finds Tristen in the crowd. She starts to head over until another girl walks up to him. He drapes an arm around her shoulder showing that charming smile. Savannah turns and walks away.
In another part of the parking lot, Flynn awkwardly chats with Clarke.
FLYNN
You were great out there. Not that I was watching you the entire time. More like sporadically.
CLARKE
You're sweet. I have to go, but...
She takes his phone and puts in her number. Hands it back.
CLARKE (CONT'D)
Call me sometime.
Walks away with her squad. Flynn gawks at his phone.
A few feet away, Abram sits on the hood of his car watching Torie and Jaxson. Jaxson checks his phone.
JAXSON
I left something inside. I'm going to go get it right quick. You good?
TORIE
Yeah. Go.
He kisses her before leaving.
Abram looks away. Flynn walks over holding up his phone.
FLYNN
She gave me her number.
ABRAM
I can see that.
Flynn sits beside him.
FLYNN
I guess high school isn't such a waste after all.
ABRAM
Don't get your hopes up.
Flynn scans the parking lot taking it all in. The laughing. The romance. The dancing. The friendships.
FLYNN
Everything's going to be okay, isn't?
ABRAM
Not if you don't get off my car.
Flynn gets up, enjoying the banter and opens the passenger door.
INT. PARKING LOT – NIGHT
Abram is slowly making his way out of the parking lot. He stops to let a group of students walk by. He catches movement near the back of the school building. Jaxson is sneaking inside. With Singer #3. Abram watches the door close behind them, wishing he hadn't.
