INT. HISTORY CLASS – DAY

They sit in silence. Tests face down on their desks.

FLYNN

Now what do we do?

Torie puts on music. Abram drums pencils on his desk.

MUSIC MONTAGE!

-They're dancing around the room, each showing off their unique moves.

-They're ripping and balling up old school work, shooting them in the trash bin. Flynn scores a point and they all celebrate.

-They're taking pictures. Enjoying the moment.

END OF MONTAGE

Torie takes a photo of Savannah, Tristen, and Flynn shooting paper balls. She looks over at Abram who's in the back checking out Mr. Edwards' bobblehead collection. He's holding John Lennon. Torie joins him. Picks up Martin Luther King Jr.

TORIE

I know you think I'm just some superficial girl desperate for attention, but you're wrong. I don't do it for the attention. I do it because it makes me happy. Life is stressful enough. Why not embrace what joy you can find?

ABRAM

Touché.

They bump bobbleheads. Flynn goes to toss another paper ball but drops it.

FLYNN

Edwards!

Tristen and Torie scramble to put their phones back in the locker. Savannah locks it back up. Everyone scatters to their seats.

Mr. Edwards pushes his weight against the door. It swings open easily and he stumbles inside.

FLYNN

We fixed it.

MR. EDWARD

I can see that. Thank you. I also see that you're finished. Which means you're free to go.

They gather their things as Mr. Edwards unlocks the storage cabinet. He grabs the box and they collect their devices on the way out. Abram is the last to leave.

MR. EDWARDS (CONT'D)

I see you decided to stick it out. Good for you.

ABRAM

I guess history isn't so bad. Anyway, it's the future we should be worried about, right? Now that's a class I'd look forward to.

He exits.

EXT. PARKING LOT – DAY

As the gang leaves the school, Torie takes out her phone.

TORIE

Wait. Can we get a group photo?

They gather around. Abram rolls his eyes, but Torie drags him into the shot. She takes the picture.

TORIE (CONT'D)

Thanks, guys.

They split off in different directions. Abram sees Flynn waiting at the drop-off.

ABRAM

You all right?

FLYNN

Yeah. I'm waiting for the after school bus.

ABRAM

I could give you a ride?

FLYNN

Really?

ABRAM

You have gas money?

FLYNN

Uh...

ABRAM

I'm kidding. Come on.

Flynn hesitates for a moment.

FLYNN

Cool.

Follows after him.

On the other side of the lot, Savannah creeps out of her spot. She sees Tristen and Torie. Waves. They wave back and she pulls off.

Torie and Tristen reach their expensive rides. Torie posts the photo she just took. Another photo appears on the feed of her and Brandy yelling at each other.

TRISTEN

You and Brandy had a fight? When did that happen?

Torie stares at the photo. It's captioned: #TheEndofFTW
