INT. OCAMPA HOME/KITCHEN – DAY

Abram's frying fish. A small TV on the counter is playing the Food Network channel. He turns off the stove, grabs a spatula and picks up the pieces of his extra crispy fish, carefully placing them on his white bread. He refers to the chef's finished dish and looks back at his own attempt.

ABRAM

Nailed it.

There's a knock on the front door.

INT. OCAMPA HOME/ LIVING ROOM – DAY

Abram's munching on his sandwich as he opens the door. It's Flynn.

FLYNN

I think I have a solution.

ABRAM

How'd you find my house?

FLYNN

I looked it up in the student directory. I volunteer in the main office third period. Can I come in?

ABRAM

Next time I'd prefer it if you made reservations.

FLYNN

Noted.

Abram gestures for him to come in. Flynn takes a seat on the couch.

ABRAM

Can I get you something? You look like a juice pouch kind of guy.

FLYNN

No. I'm okay. Wait, is your water purified?

ABRAM

I could boil it for you.

FLYNN

No thanks.

Abram sits across from him, eats his sandwich. Flynn observes the room.

FLYNN (CONT'D)

This is nice.

ABRAM

Are you here to case the place? Because you came to the wrong house.

FLYNN

Oh. Right. I have a plan to get Nikki and Jeff back together. All we have to do is remind them of the best parts of their relationship. The reason they started dating in the first place. Nostalgia stimulates loving emotions. It's not fail-proof, but it's worth a shot.

ABRAM

I want the band back together too, but I don't think we should get involved. This is their mess. They have to deal with it themselves.

FLYNN

I totally get that, but how are they supposed to fix it if they're not even communicating.

ABRAM

Is this about the cheerleader?

FLYNN

What? No.

ABRAM

If being in a band is the only way to get her to talk to you, she's not worth your time, man. You're a genetic freak, but some girls are into that.

FLYNN

This isn't about Clarke. It's more than that. Before all this, I didn't have any real friends. The only people I ever talked to were in the Roblox community, and we both know how you feel about social media relationships.

ABRAM

Dude, you can be friends with anyone you want.

FLYNN

Then I choose you guys. Hanging out with you made me realize what I was missing out on. I'm having the most fun I've ever had. This band means a lot to me. And I wanted it back.

Abram takes this to heart. Contemplates.

ABRAM

What exactly do you want us meddling kids to do?

FLYNN

How do you feel about playing dress up?
