INT. OUTSIDE TORIE'S BEDROOM – NIGHT

Abram and Flynn are still guarding the door.

FLYNN

I have to use the restroom.

He gets up and moves to the next room. He opens the door. Quickly shuts it. Eyes wide.

Torie comes upstairs. Abram moves out of the way just as Jaxson and Singer #3 come out of Tristen's room. Torie stops. Stares them down.

SINGER #3

I'm going to go.

She quickly removes herself.

JAXSON

Before you say anything--

TORIE

Are you for real right now?

JAXSON

Just listen--

TORIE

How could you do this to me? In my house?

JAXSON

It wasn't like that. Babe--

He reaches for her, but she steps back.

TORIE

Don't...Just go. Leave!

He waits for her to change her mind. She doesn't. It's over. He walks away.

Tears stream down Torie's face. She goes to her room.

INT. TORIE'S ROOM – NIGHT

Torie opens the door and finds Nikki and Jeff kissing. Flynn peeks inside.

FLYNN

It worked.

TORIE

Out!

Jeff helps Nikki up off the floor and they walk out holding hands. Torie shuts the door. Flops on her bed and cries.

There's a knock.

TORIE

What?

Abram enters.

ABRAM

Flynn left his time machine.

TORIE

What?

Abram walks in and picks up the shoe box. Heads out.

TORIE

Go ahead. I know you have some hilarious joke. Let's hear it.

ABRAM

Too soon.

TORIE

I feel like so stupid. This whole time I thought we were this perfect couple that got it right. While I was showing everyone how in love I was, he was giving his away to someone else. I never had a clue.

ABRAM

People are good liars.

TORIE

But I don't get it. I did nothing wrong. I was good to him. Always. And it never mattered. I can't go back out there. Everyone's going to want to know what happened and I don't want to deal with that right now.

Abram straddles the chair of her vanity dresser.

ABRAM

I could call the cops, but that wouldn't be in my best interest.

TORIE

Hiding in my room seems like the only option. What were you guys doing in here anyway?

ABRAM

Getting the band to kiss and makeup. Now I'm starting to have suspicions that you somehow planned out this entire scheme just so you won't have to compete against us at the talent show.

TORIE

Please. I don't need to sabotage you to win.

ABRAM

Are you willing to take a polygraph test?

TORIE

I have nothing to hide.

ABRAM

Then let's get some answers. I'm sure you have an app for that.

TORIE

Why not just use the time machine? You could see for yourself.

ABRAM

Too risky. You wouldn't be able to resist your past selfie and you'd destroy us all.

Torie can't help but laugh.

TORIE

You're so right. (Beat) Thanks.

ABRAM

For what?

TORIE

For trying to cheer me up. Apparently, you're good at making me laugh. Who knew?

They share a moment. There's a knock on the door. Flynn pops his head in.

FLYNN

My phone?

Abram tosses him the box. Gets up and heads out. He stops by the door and turns back around.

ABRAM

You deserve better. All one hundred angles of you.

He walks out and closes the door behind him.
