INT. DANCEFLOOR – NIGHT
Brandy and Tristen are playfully flirting. Torie confronts Tristen.
TORIE
You invited Vance?
TRISTEN
Why wouldn't I?
TORIE
The guy's bad news. Why are you still hanging out with him?
BRANDY
I'm sorry. Are you giving lectures on friendship? You might want to make sure you're qualified first.
Torie gives her a look.
TRISTEN
I'll keep my eyes on him.
TORIE
Good. He's your problem.
She walks away. Tristen gives Brandy a look.
BRANDY
What?
On the other side of the room, Flynn comes downstairs as a hand jive song plays. He spots Clarke and her friends hand jiving with the crowd. He stands back and watches, amused. Clarke notices him.
CLARKE
Come on, Flynn!
Flynn joins them, having the time of his life. Clarke's cheerleader friend nudges her.
CHEERLEADER #1
Ask him.
Clarke ignores her. The cheerleader leans over her.
CHEERLEADER #2
Hey, Flynn, are you busy this weekend?
FLYNN
I don't know. Why?
CHEERLEADER #1
Clarke says you're really smart. I've been having trouble with Calc this semester. I wanted to know if you could tutor me too.
FLYNN
Tutor you?
He looks at Clarke, disappointed. She looks back, not knowing what to say.
FLYNN
I have to go.
INT. LIVING ROOM – NIGHT
His mood significantly lowered, Flynn finds Abram standing in the entrance to the living room.
FLYNN
Everything's ready to go. We just need to get them in the same room.
ABRAM
That might be a problem.
A few feet away, Nikki is sitting on a sofa talking with Vance. She's dressed as Audrey Hepburn.
