I kissed her hand then raised my eyebrows, "I don't know, do I?"

Y/N smiled wider, her cheeks almost a deep red, and laughed softly again when she looked down then back up at me again.

Our waitress arrived to our table and put down Y/N's food. I did not order anything, because, well I can't eat.
"Here you go ma'am."

"Thank you, very much."

"Sir, are you sure you wouldn't like anything?" the waitress asked as she turned toward me.

I pointed to my LED, reminding her that I can't consume food.

"Oh, my apologies. Enjoy your night," she said with a genuinely nice voice.

"Thank you."

I faced Y/N again when the waitress walked off.

"Y/N, do you have any idea why I took you here out of all places in Detroit?"

She thought for a while, still smiling, then shook her head "no" while placing a spoonful of food into her mouth.

"The name of this place is 'Iridescence.' Do you know what that word means?"

"Well, I know its the rainbow-like color of bubbles."

I nodded my head, "Thats right, but it actually has another meaning. It's also a lustrous or attractive quality or effect. And I think that... that's one word, out of many, that describes you. I believe you have many attractive qualities, so that was one reason. Also, this is a nice place," I said that last part with a laugh.

This resulted in her grinning so hard that her eyes squinted to the point where they were almost closed.

"Wow, thank you. I love you so much, Connor. It's like you never fail to amaze me."

"You're welcome. I love you too, Ho-" I noticed that Y/N, while she was in fact listening to me, seemed distracted. She was looking past me, her dark red blush leaving her gorgeous face.

"Y/N? Honey? Are you alright?" I asked and she perked up.

"Ah, yes, I just... spaced out for some reason."

I didn't really believe that, because she didn't look like she was thinking about something like when she was usually 'space out', but instead was focused on something or someone that was physically in the room.

"Are you sure? You seemed focused," I asked to make sure.

She took a sip of her water, then nodded her head. "I'm positive. I think I'm ready to go home now. I-I'm getting a bit tired," she spoke with a gentle smile.

I was becoming concerned for why she wanted to leave right away. She didn't seem tired a few minutes ago.

I mean, yes, she had finished eating, but usually when we went out to in dinner dates we would just stay for a while and talk, especially if it was a really nice place like this one.

"Okay, let me just pay the check."

I blinked several times while I connected with the computer for payment.

PAYMENT CONFIRMED!

"I paid the bill, we can make our way out now," I told her, a bit worried about how she seemed a little... off.

"Awesome. I have to go to the bathroom. I'll meet you in the car," she smiled.

"I can wait for you," I insisted. I wanted to be near her, because I was uncertain if she was feeling okay.
