Weeks went by, it was almost Christmas. You could feel the joy in the air. Castiel and Dean had grown closer over the last few weeks and Cas had heard many new songs that he loves, every night he had added to his Dean playlist. His top favourite were Hey Jude and Here Comes The Sun. Maybe it was because they held the happiest memories with them. Dean was out with Lisa and he finished decorating the room with Christmas decorations. He sat to do his homework for art and design, when Dean came barging through the door and storming into the bathroom, slamming the door behind him. It startled Cas, he decided to try and talk to Dean

"D-Dean?" Castiel stuttered
"Are you okay?"
Silence.
"Dean? Talk to me." Castiel pleaded. Dean slowly opened the door, his eyes were bloodshot and his face was red.
"I need to take you somewhere. We need to talk." Dean said, sniffing
"Dean you're worrying me-" Castiel said.
"Meet me outside, put on a coat it's snowing." Dean said, distressed
"It's snowing?" Castiel beamed with happiness, he never even noticed. Cas grabbed his trench coat and ran outside with his bag.

Dean was already waiting in the car, Cas climbed in.
"I have a request to make!" Cas exclaimed
"What is it" Dean said, emotionless
"Can we listen to Hey Jude?" He asked excitedly
"Not in the mood" Dean complained, Castiel was confused
"This is strange, Dean usually is a genuinely happy person" Castiel thought.
When they stopped at the park Dean sat on the bench whilst Castiel hurled snowballs at him. Dean didn't seem bothered, he sat there with his hands on the side of his face. The park was deserted, nobody to be seen. Castiel sat opposite Dean on the bench

"Turn that frown upside down, sad clown" he laughed, he expected Dean to at least grin but there was nothing.
"Come on Dean. What's wrong?" Castiel asked, worried.
"Lisa cheated on me, I guess. And I broke it off"
"Oh, I'm so sorry Dean." Castiel said sadly, he moved next to Dean and hugged him. Castiel took his phone out of his pocket and started playing Hey Jude. Dean rolled his eyes and tried to hide his smile.

"I like you Castiel, a lot."
"Yes I already established that, Dean." Castiel said.
"No, no Cas. I like you, like, a lot" Dean said awkwardly.
"Thank you Dean, but you just told me.." Castiel said, suspiciously.
"No Cas you don't understand I really like you, I care about you too much." Dean says, getting more nervous every time
"How many times are going to tell me?" Castiel asked smiling.
"Screw this" Dean said, he took a deep breath and kissed Castiel.
This startled Castiel, but this time in a good way. He smiled and when it was over Dean blushed.

"I-I'm sorry-" Dean stuttered
"It's okay Dean...I like that." Castiel smiled
"I'm going to cherish this song for the rest of my life" Dean said
"So what does this mean? What is our relationship now?" Castiel asked, beaming with happiness and jumping with joy.
"Well, do you want to be my boyfriend?" Dean asked, holding his hand
"Of course" Castiel smiled, squeezing his hand.
"To celebrate, can we please have a snowball fight!" Castiel asked, Dean laughed and picked up a pile of snow and shoved it down the front of Castiel's shirt.
Cas gasped and fell of the bench in shock. Dean laughed and took a photo on his phone, when Dean was looking at the picture he smiled, the last thing he expected was a snowball to the eye, which was what happened.
"Son of a bitch!" Dean yelled wiping his eye. Castiel laughed and kept on laughing until he lost control of his legs, falling to the ground. Dean took another picture of Cas. He knew he'd cherish these memories forever, whether they were together or not. Dean picked up a snowball and threw it at Castiel's forehead. Cas stood up and tried to throw one at Dean but missed, they carried on playing for hours until they got out of breath.

They say back on the bench and Dean put his arm around Castiel and pulled him closer.
"Maybe we've only known each other for a few months. But I love you" Dean laughed
"I love you too" Castiel replied, smiling
"We should probably get back to the dorm" Dean said to Cas. They stood up and walked to the car
