Chapter 39: The end

"I...love you." I mumble and he pulls ever so slightly back, a wide grin on his face.
"I love you too sweetheart."

With a final wave, I look at my friends, my new found love and even the past, replaying the memories I created here. I felt a tear slip down my cheek as I turn and sigh, straightening up and opening my hands into oppsoite directions. A bright light in the world appears, shining vibrantly before it expands into a portal.

I glance back and smile, stepping threw and closing my eyes. I fall through, the slight wind whipping my face, before my feet land firmly on the ground. I open my eyes and stare through the window. My eyes are still pure black and my hands still remain in a mist of darkness. Sighing, I pull my sleeves down and put on sunglasses, stepping up and walking in my all to familar home.
"Adeline!" My mothers voice rings through the house and I watch as she runs around the corner.

Tears of joy fall down her cheeks as she embraces me, hugging me tightly.
"I've missed you so much!" She says, kissing ny forehead and smiling.
"I've missed you so much too. It's been...interesting." I reply with a laugh and she stares at me confused.
"Take those sunglasses off." Before I can stop her, she removes my glasses and stares, with her mouth agape.
"Mother I'm...I'm not normal." I begin with a sigh and she laughs.
"I can see that." I take her hands and lead her to the sofa, taking a seat.
"I have so much explaining to do. Just promise me, you wont freak out." I say and she nods. With that, I explain everything, from the letter to the portal and me returning home. Her facial expressions change throughout and by the end, I'm terrfied.

Minutes pass and all is silent- except for my heart, which is pounding in my chest.
"So...what are you still doing here?" She suddenly asks and I look at her, confused.
"What do you mean?" I question and she laughs, taking my hands.
"It seems to me Addy, that you left behind a life. What's the point in being normal, it's boring. People need you Adeline." She explains and I shake my head.
"But you'll be alone...unless." I start to form a plan in my mind and jump up in excitement.
"You come with me! We can leave here and we can go to the Kingdoms. You can be with me." I say and she laughs, looking around the home.
"I dont see why not." I embrace her tightly and within a second our clothes are crowding our feet and a portal opens before us. I send the bags through, my mum follwing after and with a smile, I do too.

We arrive where I left and watch as everyone begins walking away. It must've been seconds maybe even minutes here.
"Well it could be a better welcome!" I yell happily, watching as each Shaper turns and gasps. Hadens eyes widen and he's sprinting towards me. He grabs me, throwing me up and catching me as our lips meet.

This lasts for a few minutes, before we part. I turn and see a playful smile on my mothers face.
"Addy dear, who's this?" She asks and Haden turns, eyes widening at the sight of my mother.
"Mum this is my boyfriend Haden, Haden this is my mother." They hug and share words that I couldn't hear. That continues and I introduce my mum to everyone, before we all head to the Kingdom.

Claiming the throne, I place a crown atop my head and suddenly a projection of the Kingdoms appears infront of me. I smile and begin forming them all together. It takes hours but soon enough, we are a Kingdom of one, living in peace and tranquillity. However, I make a few discoveries on my way.
"Hey Alaunus." I say as he's walking around and he embraces me, smiling.
"Your highness." He says with a bow and I laugh, shaking my head.
"I have a gift for you." I announce and he shakes his head.
"Oh no I'm fine thank you dear." Alaunus protests but I smirk.
"I think you'll like this one." And I walk towards a curtain, opening it up and watching as an elder woman, still beautiful with shining grey hair walks towards Alaunus with the most radiant smile ever.
"Eir?" He questions and she nods. They meet in the middle in a warming and hopeful hug. I cant help but shed a tear as they thank me and continue to talk and hug.

"Your amazing." Haden whispers behind me and I smile, turning and wrapping my arms around his neck.
"I am aren't I." I say and he stares deep into my abyss eyes.
"What a beautfiul ending." Haden whispers and I shake my head.
"No...it's just the beginning." And with that he leans forward, pressing his lips against mine in an everlasting kiss...

Chapter 39 and we've come to a beautiul end. All lives happily after ever in a Kingdom where there is no more hate and fear but kindness and tranquil.
