"This isn't a story or I would have chosen a better side kick." I smirk back, walking ahead of the self centered Shaper a few feet away.
"Careful sweetheart. You almost said something actually amusing for once."

I hate him!

I rub a hand angrily down my face and glare at the Shaper beside me.
"Okay, everything I have said you have somehow come back with a rude or sarcastic comment each time. WILL YOU QUIT IT!" I yell, running my fingers through my chensut hair. I recieve a few stares from some by passers who only smirk at my outrage.
"I mean I could, but where's the fun in that sweetheart." He says and I roll my eyes.
"Quit calling me that. Its Adeline idiot." I snap, my breathing quick as I try not to let him get under my skin.
"Well Adeline idiot, I'm Haden." He laughs and I shove his shoulder harshly, making him stumble sideways.
"It should be Hades. You sure are a demon." I mumble, slowing down my quick pace until we had completely stopped.
"Where are we even going?" I ask confused and Haden smirks, pointing infront of us.
"There. Lets get going sweetheart." Haden teases and I groan, stumbling behind him as he rushes excitedly and laughs at my exhausted and annoyed face.
"STOP CALLING ME THAT!" I scream, which is only drowned out by his irritating laughter as we draw nearer to the shop.

It has displays of antiques but a window is smashed and glass still lay on the wooden ground. The window is covered with a curtain that is broken and falling from one side. Nevertheless, we still walk straight inside and I, as much as I really didn't want to, move closer to Haden, my head snapping in every direction to make sure I was safe.

The interior was suprisingly beautiful. Detailed and interesting treasures sit proudly upon dusted shelves, protected by shiny (not shattered) glass.

We both stroll to the front desk, a middle aged woman sitting there and staring at an unusual yet mesmorising object.
"Hello Flora. I need some...'resources'." Haden whispers and Flora smiles widely, immediately standing and ushering us to the back of the shop.
"Is this the girl?" She asks, pointing her witch like fingers at me.
"The one and only." He responds, chuckling as she opens a black and gold chest with an oddly shaped key. She picks each unusual 'weapon' up and spreads them out on a table covered with a silky and velvet black cloth.
"Choose one and choose wisely." She states, glancing at me as I stare intently at my options before me. They each look as peculiar as the other but I cant help but be drawn to one.

It's the smallest one there and had two horns along the side, covered in unusal markings. A glowing, sharp stick points from the middle. Theres a handle which has 'Diamor' carved harshly into it.
"What does this mean?" I ask, picking the weapon and examinating it closely.
"Its a Portmanteau- two words combined together. Mort meaning Death and Diable meaning Devil in Catalan. Great choice, now say the word." Flora commands and I jump slightly, before exhaling deeply.
"Diamor." I whisper, my eyes widening as the bright light grows stronger until a red mist surrounds it. The crimson fog circles around my arm, imprinting symbols into it.

I stare longingly, my mouth agape but nothing leaving my lips. I follow the lines of the symbols, using the Diamor and I was almost finished when Flora snatched the weapon from my hand. Everything drifted, the mist dissapeared and the symbols vanished.
"My, your stronger than we predicted. How did you do that?" She asked and I looked at Haden who's eyes were wide and jaw fallen.
"Do what? I just did what you said and then... well that happened." I stumble over my choice of words, still amazed by the previous events minutes ago.
"You chose the right weapon. Its the rarest I know and own but anytime I've ever tested it, nothing would happen. It chose you and you chose it. Adeline Spring, use this, end our misery and save the Kingd-" She was cut off by loud footsteps on the outside boards until the bell chimed.
"Fl...or...a." An evil, hoarse and terrifying voice croaked.
"It's them! Leave through the tunnel. Go, go!" She whisper/ yelled, pushing us to this wooden square.
"Obert!" She whispers and the board opens revealing darkness.

Flora smiles and squeezes my hand, secretly handing me a ring.
"It's the Diamor. The weapons disguise themselves under attack." She explains, kissing my cheek.
"Thank you." I say grateful before Haden grabs my wrist and pulls me down the steps. I nod my head in her direction, shivering as my body tingles, hearing that creepy voice repeat:
"Fl...or...a."

We were surrounded by darkness and I clung to Haden, too afraid to realise he was an illuminous red. I gasp and step back watching as he exhaled, fire lighting candles along the walls I didn't even know existed.

"Who were they?" I ask, taking small steps next to Haden.
"There Queen Acacias' guards, better known as Oleles."
