"There's a camp inside the city. We're going to do a march and...try to convince the humans to free whoever is inside." Markus said. You nodded.

"So, what direction are we coming from?" You asked.

"Downtown Woodward Avenue. It's the most direct route. We have to show that we aren't looking for a fight." Markus replied.

"Are you sure about this, Markus?" Simon asked.

"It's the only way." He said.

"We have to try." Josh agreed.

"This is suicide, Markus. They'll kill us if we don't fight back. We'll be helpless!" North said.

"If we fight them, we not only risk war we risk the lives of everyone trapped inside." Markus told her. "We have to do this right." North still didn't look happy, but she wasn't going to argue with him.

"We should leave it a half an hour. If we wait too long we risk everyone inside being dead by the time we get there." You pointed out.

"Right." Markus agreed. "You all have a half an hour to prepare yourselves. Tonight, no matter how this ends, we're going to make history." Markus said. You nodded in agreement. You all split up. You paused and looked back at Markus.

"I know we can do this." You said. "I believe in you, Markus." You told him. He nodded to you and you gave him a small smile. You went over to your friends afterward.

"You guys ready for this?" You asked.

"As we'll ever be." Jacob said.

"If I have to die today, then I will." Jax said. He sounded so sure of himself. You admired that about him. He was fearless. His friend, Zora, didn't like when he said that though.

"I'm not gonna lie, I'm nervous." Claira said. Nelly hugged her.

"It'll be okay! You'll see!" She assured, but you could see the fear in her eyes. At least it seemed to help Claira. You heard Flame whimper, but both Dell and Bandit were there to comfort him.

"The animals are joining us?" Jaden asked.

"Yes. All that are strong enough for it." You confirmed.

"So, this really is the last stand." Dell said. You nodded slowly.

"It really is." You sighed.

"Are you sure we can do this?" Jax asked.

"I have faith in Markus. He's led us this far, he can lead us past it." You said confidently. They all nodded.

"You really think they'll attack?" Roxy asked.

"We can't be sure, but the probability is high." You explained. "Anyway, we all have only a little bit of time to get ready. I better check on some of the others. See you all later." You said.

"Later." Jax said. You left and went over the group of animals with Flame and Bandit. You saw little Rebel with them. You sighed. You knew she couldn't come with. Her and Sundrop would have to stay. You weren't going to risk the life of a kitten and it's mother. You knelt down and they all nuzzled you and rubbed up against you happily as a greeting. You chuckled.

"Hey everyone. I'm glad you're all okay too." You said. They all looked at you, seemingly smiling. You looked at Sundrop and Rebel. "Sundrop, you and Rebel have to stay here. If we don't come back I want both of you to find a safe home outside the city, okay?" You said. Sundrop's ear went back a Rebel looked very worried about Streak, but Sundrop let out a mew of agreement. "Thank you." You said to her.

You turned to the others. "Tucker, Amai, Galaxy, Speckle, Flame, Streak, and Bandit, I need all of you to come with. We need a lot of friends on this. Plus, if there's more of us, hopefully we'll have a better chance of lasting until Connor hopefully brings reinforcements." While you didn't like the fact that it all rested with his success, you had to accept that he was the only one that could pull it off. They all nodded. You smiled a little at them. "We don't have a lot of time. I suggust you all get yourselves ready. I'll see you soon, okay?"

"Can do, (Y/n)!" Flame said. You chuckled a little and returned to your human android friends. You stayed with them and you thought of Connor again. You sighed. You better be able to pull this off, Connor.

Connor's POV

I had finished getting myself ready. I was back in my usual clothing and it was time. I began to head out, running over my mission one last time in my head.

As I left I felt worried for (Y/n) and Markus. I was so worried that I'd never see her again. I knew Markus would do his best to keep as many androids as possible alive, but everyone knew that not all of us we're going to make it out alive tonight. It scared me. I didn't want her to get hurt. I cared about her and nothing was going to change that. No matter how mad she got at me, I would never stop caring about her.

I pushed my worries away. I had to focus. No matter what happened to them, in order for us to win I had to do this. I had to get this right. I was nervous, I had to admit, but I wouldn't let nerves keep me from helping everyone. I wasn't going to fail. I couldn't fail. I kept going, not stopping for anything. I had to get there fast. I didn't have spare time to waste. The sooner I got there, the better.

I was determined to get this right. I knew I could. I could feel it. Everyone was counting on me. I wasn't going to fail them. Failure wasn't an option. I thought about Hank. I would have to thank him for helping me before when I saw him again.

I looked around. I spotted a taxi. I caught it and I began to head to the Cyberlife Tower. I felt my nerves rise, but I forced myself to push them away. I could do this. I was certain of it. I just had to. I breathed in and out. I thought of (Y/n). I remembered how she had treated me before the incedint. She was never cruel to me. She was special. I smiled a little at the memories. I promise I won't fail you again.
