Chapter 52 - Mutations

My reaction was far more than excitement, and what you would expect from a first kiss. Keeping in mind that this was no ordinary first kiss--if, this is what you'd consider as one.

I was shocked to the core to the point where I became breathless and held it in--also freezing up at the fact that my lips are smeared against his. My heart skipped a beat--before it resumed back to a pace too quick to keep up, as I let it all unfold without needing to do anything.

Finally, I was forcefully pulled away and released until my back hit against the wall again. My expression of being shock never removing from my face, as my lips remained apart; newly kissed lips that quivered from that attachment.

I saw Katsuki's naturally oppose face as he looked me dead in the eyes.

I blinked my way back into reality before gulping down my saliva. My words still not coming out right and my cheeks boiling a hot red. "..Ka...Ka-Katsuki...I-I-I--"

"Don't say anything..!" Katsuki burst out suddenly.

I felt my entire face boil up at that moment as I bit down on my lower lip which now felt cold. My eyeballs nearly filled with salt water and newly kissed lips quivering to the point where I had no more words left in me.

Katsuki soon darted his crimson eyes away from me where I noticed the lightest shade of colour forming on his cheeks as he did.

He started approaching the left side of the wall we were behind before pressing his back against it. He sure was taking this matter a lot more casually than I was, which always irritated me about him.

"...Th-That was my first kiss.." I muttered out to myself.

"..Oh really? Well, the feeling couldn't be more mutual, shit-head." Katsuki responded in a low tone before adding on with; "There's no time to be shitting over this now, that thing hasn't stopped looking for us and we can't stick around here forever."

I listened and took in all of that common sense the ash blonde has made, as I inhaled and exhaled to prepare myself for this moment.

"I'm ready when you are, Katsuki..." I quietly said but my words weren't as confident as before.

"Come back alive, got it?"

I closed my eyes for a moment and nodded while saying; "..Got it." Though, again, my words weren't confident at all.

Without saying another word to each other, Katsuki started to emit small sparks out of his palm before sending a row of multiple explosions to launch himself towards the creature.

Easily enough, the attention of that thing was fully drawn towards Katsuki and a large enough gap was made between the creature and the hole it burst out of.

Taking this quick opportunity, I eject out my skate blades and dash towards the entrance of where this beast came from which took me no time at all.

When I reach the hole, I halted for a moment and turned my gaze towards the fight.

I see Katsuki sending several large explosions towards that thing to the point where it started losing its capability to rearrange itself back together in a quicker pace.

Only for a second there, those crimson orbs would come in contact with my (e/c) pair--and in that single contact that lasted for no longer than a second; brought the urge to let my waterfalls go instantly.

Struggling to hold them back--I wasted no time and turned away, before stepping off the edge and falling down into the deep, dark hole.
