The next day in school he couldn't concentrate on anything, not his human or his magical classes, and during training he was checked right the f' out. The day was a complete wash.

When Ryan went to escort them home he had to make up an excuse to duck away so that he could go to the club on his usual night off. Good news though he got an extension from Ms Long for his history paper. He could rewrite it over the weekend and pass it in on Monday of next week without it affecting his mark. Chalk that up to the only good news he'd had for days.

When he showed up at the Boys' and Girls' club, Summer was surprised to see him, she volunteered on Monday and Wednesday the only day they usually worked together was Saturday.

Let's put it this way Summer was aptly named; she was hotter than the sun and made getting his ass out of bed on Saturday morning a breeze. This was the first time he'd seen her since their incarceration after their run in with Liam's crew at the school library, and she looked genuinely pleased to see him.

Lots of his kind wouldn't ever think about dating a human, too many secrets they claim, but Summer's the most beautiful human he knows and the kindest. She truly loves the kids she works with. She's slightly older than him by two years, but he gets the impression sometimes that she doesn't really mind the age difference.

She jogged up to him when he walked in and said a little breathlessly, which was sexy as hell, "Wow he's back from the dead. We thought you'd given up on us." Then she hit him with a killer smile that made his knees weak.

Summer's a tall girl for a human with long blonde hair and an athletic build. Don't laugh, but he thinks her eyes look like caramel corn. They are the lightest brown he's ever seen. To him she reminds him of a younger, sexier Blake Lively. Her hair has the same natural wave and she usually wears it in a ponytail. No matter how tightly she secures it though, a few strands always seem to find their way out as she plays and runs around with the 6-10 year olds, which makes him, want to put them back in place just to feel how soft they are.

When he realized he'd been standing staring at her like a dweeb. He chuckled to himself and said, "Nah I re-spawned and now you're stuck with me."

Relief washed over him when she laughed at his lame ass joke.

"So, have you changed your volunteer days?" she hit him with a hopeful look that gave him all kinds of strange and wonderful feelings.

"Nah I'm just here to talk to Jonah," he looked around her shoulder to see if he could spy him, "is he here?"
