A knock sounds on the hotel door and I look up from my book. The shower water continues to run and I slowly stand up. I creep toward the door and look through the peep hole.

What the-

"What the fuck are you doing here!?" I exclaim jerking open the door.

"Yeah, like I was going to miss this. I heard ya'll talking before you left." He asks and I grab part of his shirt and yank him in.

"Did anyone see you?"

"Just the lady at the front desk who told me where y'all were."

"How'd she know who we were?"

"I said the newly wed couple. Figured that's the scenario you'd give her." He says and I glare shutting the door.

"So how come if you heard us talking you didn't come with us then."

"Figured you two love birds needed some time alone." He says and my glare deepens as the bathroom door opens.

"Who was at the do- Ace." Shane says eyeing him.

"Hi."

"You have got to be kidding me."

"Chill, I'm not going to embark on your love sesh. Just coming to help out in the fight."

"There's not going to be a fight."

"Right, it's not like the light forces are going to walk in as soon as you find your mom, demand you hand her over, you'll say no way in hell, your brother and his minions or whatever will appear, they'll shove a wedge between Shane and you, cause him to lose his shit, and cause world war x: war of the supernatural." He says

"Seems like you've got everything figured out."

"It's just obvious. I no way in hell will miss that either." He says flopping down onto the bed.

"Right. Too bad, supernatural isn't your specialty." I say

"I can still fight. Besides, I'm more trained in combat then you atleast. Plus, I'm a tracker which neither of you are." He says and I huff crossing my arms. 

"Also, I got a car."

"I can portal us in and out."

"You really think they won't have a block up? They're trying to capture/tame your mother. They're going to put a magic block up. Yet I'm the one who only works with humans."

"He's got a point Neveah."

"Thank you." Ace says and I huff.

"What? No, he is not coming."

"The more the merrier." Ace says and I grumble.

"That wasn't a no. Cool, so when we leaving?"

"You're leaving now." I say yanking him up.

"Oh, I always loved this feisty side of you." He says and I sense Shane's anger but he keeps it cool.

"I'm cool with you helping us Ace, don't make me change my mind." Shane hisses

"Right, she's yours now." Ace says holding his hands up in surrender and I glare.

"I'm nobody's." I hiss and Ace shrugs.

"Come on Neveah, we might need the extra help. He's right it's unpredictable." Shane says moving over to me. I look over at him and cross my arms.

"Please?" Ace asks and I drop my hands to my side.

"Fine. You follow me though." I bite out

"Yes mam." He says and I grumble.
