Child!Reader x Erwin: Cookie jar

Okay! Important notes: In this chapter, you are Erwin Smith's child and you're 7 years old. You live in the modern world. Got it? Alright!

You looked upstairs and downstairs.

No one was home.

You checked every room.

No one was home.

You smiled mischieviously and made your way towards the kitchen. Papa Erwin, Uncle Mike, Auntie Hanji and Uncle Levi weren't home, so all you can do (well, maybe you could watch the shows your papa didn't allow you to watch like the anime, Attack on Titan) was to raid Auntie Hanji's cookie jar.

Your sweet tooth couldn't help but crave the chocolate-chipy goodness inside the jar that was on top of the fridge and off limits to you. You craved the sweets ever since you saw the jar in Auntie Hanji's arms when she returned home.

Papa Erwin actually shares a house with his colleagues, Uncle Levi, Uncle Mike and Auntie Hanji. Your mother died right after you were born, but Auntie Hanji treated you like her own daughter while Uncle Levi and Uncle Mike were, well, like older brothers. They (including your mother) were best of friends and ran a business together. Papa Erwin fell in love with your mama and got married, soon enough, you were born.

You had your ups and downs with them, Auntie Hanji spoils you, Uncle Mike plays with you and Uncle Levi tutored you. Papa Erwin was fulfilling his role as a parent. Giving you food, clothes, shelter and affection. You were a very giddy and curious young child.

You grabbed a seat, climbed on it and climbed up the counter, you took the cookie jar and caressed it like it was a precious jewel. You climbed down carefully.

You took one cookie inside and ate it, you shivered in delight as the sweetness enveloped your tiny body. You ate more, turning your face and the floor in a crumbly mess. Some melted chocolate were on your cheeks and teeth, you didn't bother and continued eating when you heard the front door open. You immediately froze on the spot.

"(y/n)? I'm home!" You heard your papa call. Erwin came to the kitchen while he loosened his tie. He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the mess you made.

"H-hi papa." you smiled.

"(y/n), have you been eating your Auntie Hanji's cookies?" Erwin said, hands on his side.

You took a cookie and placed it on Erwin's hand. The man was confused as he looked at you.

"Please don't tell, papa. I don't intend to finish it all though." you begged as you held his hand and began to tear up. Erwin sighed and smiled before he picked you up (with the jar still in your hands).

"Don't cry, sweetie. Papa won't tell a soul," Erwin said, he ate half of the cookie and said, "promise."

You smiled and kissed his cheek as Erwin wiped the chocolate off your face.

You spent the afternoon watching movies and eating cookies with Erwin. Suddenly, as your favorite movie was about to start, Mike and Levi came in your room.

"I smelled movies and cookies. Aren't those Hanji's?" Mike asked.

You got up and gave Mike and Levi a cookie each, "Please don't tell Auntie Hanji." you begged with puppy eyes.

Levi kneeled and placed a hand on top of your head, "we wouldn't think of ratting you out, (y/n). Let's go watch some movies." he said as he picked you up and placed you on the bed. Mike sat on the armchair next to Levi, Erwin was leaning on the bed frame, you were leaning on Erwin and Levi sat next to you on your bed.

As all of you were watching your favorite movie, you started to fall asleep. Erwin tucked you in and kissed your forehead, before they continued watching.

"AHH!! MY COOKIES!! WHERE DID THEY GO?!?!?!" a yell was heard from downstairs. Hanji raced towards your room. She opened the door to your room and pointed an acussing finger at your sleeping form.

"YOU!!" Hanji yelled, recieving a wave of 'shh' from her colleagues.

"Hanji, my little (y/n) is sleeping. Keep it down." Erwin said calmly.

"But! You guys ate my cookies!" Hanji whispered.

"Most of them. (y/n) didn't intend to finish it all off." Levi said as he pointed towards the floor next to Erwin. Hanji sat on the spot Levi pointed, Erwin gave Hanji her cookie jar and she took one.

"Either way, I wouldn't say 'no' to (y/n) if (y/n) wanted the whole jar and the cookies."
