Lilly Jennings. 14 years old alone in a world were the dead are walking and trying to eat you. She's been alone for 3 months since her brother died. She ends up walking along a dirt road and comes across a prison.

They are moving all the kids into quarantine so we don't get sick. Carl isn't to pleased about it and I'm not either but they want us to be safe so I can't really complain. Me and Carl are packing when Rick comes in.
"It's for your own good" Rick says
"I'm fine I don't want to be locked away with a bunch of kids" Carl says
"I need you in there keeping an eye on Judith and everybody else making sure they're safe, if anybody gets sick you let me know"
"What if they've already turned when i find them"
"You don't fire unless you absolutely need to"
"And you know I might need to right"
Carl grabs his bag and walks out I grab mine give Rick an apologetic look and follow Carl. We go we're the other kids are and find a room and our our stuff down and sit on the floor. He grabs a comic book and starts reading it.
"Carl" I say
"What" he says
"What's wrong"
"Why do you care"
"Because I just do Carl"
"Well you don't need to I'm fine"
I roll my eyes and go find Beth. She's with Judith and I sit with her.
"What's up" she asked
"Carl's being an ass"
"So you do like him"
"I don't know"
"It's okay too like him you know"
"Yeah I know"
I put my head in her shoulder. We lay against the door when Maggie comes and talks to us through the door
"Thanks for being in there, I know you don't have to be I means a lot for you being in there with Judith" Maggie says
"Things ok out there" I ask
"Glenn has it" Maggie says trying not to cry
"Maggie, we don't get to be upset, we all got jobs to do. That's what daddy always says. Daryl Michonne will get the meds, you and Carol and Rick will help everyone till they get back and I'll take care of Judith just focus on what you have to do no matter what happens we'll deal with it. We have to" Beth says
I have tears in my eyes hearing that Glenn has whatever is going around. Him and Maggie have been so caring for me making sure I'm ok since I got here. Glenn is like a father figure to me. I keep my head in Beth's shoulder and we just sit in silence. It's nice though.
I go back to were me and Carl are staying he has his hat on his head haven't seen him wear that since I got here.
"Hey" I say
"Hi" he says back "sorry for being an ass earlier"
"It's alright I know you were just mad about staying in here"
"Yeah but my dad wants me to protect the people here so I am"
I smile and sit next to him in the floor. He grabs my hand and holds it in his lap.
"Lilly"
"Yeah"
"I think I like you"
"I think I like you too"
"Really"
"Yeah"
He smiles at me one of the real smile I've seen out of him. I smile back at him. I put my head in his shoulder. And we sit there in comfortable silence. ------------------------------------------------------
