Sluggo was trying to convince Rollo the Rich Kid that he should give tiptoeing another chance. He said, "You could tiptoe off your yacht, slip on your heels and saunter over to a nearby island, where the natives do an amazing tiptoe-hula dance."
Rollo mentioned that he had tried this once, and went on to say, "I
sauntered over to the island with my pasta dish, and then I stole a
forkful of Rob's spaghetti ai frutti di mare, to see how it compared.
It wasn't very good. If that's what tiptoeing does to your pasta, I
want nothing to do with it!"
Sluggo decided that Rollo was a hopeless case, and gave up trying to convert him to tiptoeism.
