Training (part 4)

"Good Morning Chairman," masiglang bati ni Zienna sa kanyang kuya. "Hello, future Chairman of Antonio's manufacturing." Baling ni Zienna kay Xein.

"So, this is the famous Xein Veranda." naka-ngiting sabi ni Ross.

"Meet Ross," sabi ni Zeig na kay Xein nakatingin. "He's the CEO of Gerardo's group of companies."

"And the Chairman's best friend." Nakangiti pa ring inilahad ni Ross ang kanang palad kay Xein.

"Xein here, nice meeting you, Sir." Nakangiti ring inabot ni Xein ang palad ni Ross at very businesslike na nagkamay ang dalawa.

"Please don't Sir me." Kakamot-kamot sa ulong sabi ni Ross kay Xein, "baka bigla akong sisantehin ni Chairman."

"Bakit naman ho kayo masi-sisante?" inosenteng tanong ni Xein.

Si Zienna ang sumagot sa tanong ni Xein, "everyone who works at Gerardo's from CEO to the lowest ranking employee was told that the Chairman, Zeig Hernalde and his co-chairwoman, Zienna Hernalde, ako yun." Pakikay na sabi ni Zienna sa kaibigan, "both of us will train the only heir of Antonio Veranda and every employees of Gerardo's will give you the same treatment and respect they give us. Kaya ikaw ang tatawaging Ma'am nitong si Kuya Ross."

"I thought you said I will work for you?" nalilitong baling ni Xein kay Zeig.

"Both Zienna and I will train you, specifically; yes you will be working for me dahil trainee kita. But it's just a manner of speaking, fact is, you will be working with me and at some point with Zienna. We will teach you how to be an efficient Chairman, so, technically speaking you are a ranking officer of Gerardo's at the moment."

Gustong ma-shock ni Xein sa ikinikilos ni Zeig, 'did he just patiently explained everything to me?' tanong ng dalaga sa kanyang isip.

Bago pa nya mabigyan nang sagot ang weird na kilos ni Zeig ay iginiya na sya ng binata sa private office nito.

"This will be your table," naka-ngiting sabi ni Zeig kay Xein sabay turo sa lamesang naka-pwesto sa tapat ng sariling mesa naman ni Zeig.

"Magkasama tayo sa iisang office?" halata ang pagtataka sa tono nang boses ni Xein.

"Gusto ni Chairman ay personal ka nyang mabantayan," sabat ni Zienna. "I suggested na tayo sanang dalawa ang magkasama ng opisina kaya lang baka daw sa halip na trabaho eh puro bulakbol ang gawin nating dalawa." Natatawang dagdag paliwanag ng kanyang kinakapatid.

"So you called him Chairman when both of you are here at Gerardo's?" tanong ni Xein kay Zienna.

"Pag may mga tauhan sa paligid na makakarinig, yes, and the Chairman called me co-chairwoman." Masiglang sagot ni Zienna.

"And what should I call you?" baling ni Xein kay Zeig. "Pag may mga tauhan sa paligid na makakarinig.

"Zeig will be fine," nakangiting sagot ng binata. "You know, now that it has come to mind, I should call you Ma'am." Hindi nawawala ang ngiti sa labi ni Zeig.

"I will be working for you, I should be the one calling you Sir." Nakangiti ring tugon ni Xein, ewan ba nya pero nahahawa sya sa magandang mood ni Zeig.

"Correction," itinaas ni Zeig ang hintuturo, maaliwalas pa rin ang mukha ng binata. "You will be working with me and like I said now that it has come to mind, Tito Antonio hired me to train you, so, as far as you are is concerned empleyado ako ng Papa mo. At dahil ikaw ang nag-iisang taga-pagmana ni Tito Antonio, technically speaking, amo na rin kita." Nakangiti pa rin si Zeig habang matyagang nagpapaliwanag kay Xein.

"I suggest we should ignore formalities," nakangiting sabi ni Xein. "Una, naiilang ako. Pangalawa, this is actually the first time na hindi tayo nag-iiringan. As much as possible sana we can keep this friendly environment while you teach me."

"I'm friendly," confident na sagot ni Zeig.

"Yeah, right!" kunwari ay sarcastic na sagot naman ni Xein.

"Hey, I thought you said maintain the friendly environment?" Natatawang sagot naman ni Zeig.

"If you promised you won't be arrogant." Warning naman ni Xein kay Zeig, kunwari ay dinuro pa nya ang binata pero anduon naman ang matamis na ngiti sa kanyang mga labi.

"When did I become arrogant?" kunot-noong tanong ni Zeig pero at sinusupil ang kanyang mga ngiti sa labi.

"Do you really want to have that argument now, Mr. Chairman?" kunwari ay nagtataray si Xein, pinigil din nya ang ngumiti.

"We should start working." Ngumiti na si Zeig sabay kindat kay Xein bago naupo sa kanyang lamesa.

Para namang nanuyo ang lalamunan ng dalaga, Zeig's wink has an extreme effect on her. Kung paanong kinikilabutan sya sa mga labi ni Zeig na napapalibutan ng tumutubong bigote at balbas at kung paanong nag-iinit ang pakiramdam nya kapag nagtatama ang kanilang mga mata ay higit lalo nang matindi ang epekto ng kindat ni Zeig. Parang tinutunaw nito ang lahat ng pader na nakaharang sa kanila.

"Aherm," tikhim kunwari ni Zienna. "Let's get to work na daw," sutil na sabi pa ng kanyang best friend slash kinakapatid bago sya nito iwan sa pangangalaga ng Kuya nito.

Alam kong kahit ilang ulit na pasensya at sorry ang gawin ko sa inyo dear readers, hindi maka-sasapat sa inip na nararamdaman ninyo. It's been almost two months (9 days to go at 2nd monthsary na ng walang update), at alam kong bugnot na bugnot na kayo sa katamaran ko.

To be honest, I never had the same enthusiasm. I am not as enthusiastic as I used to be. I don't remember how many months now since I started to feel this way, but I have this distinguishing quality which is "easy to get bored with or fed up with something". And I am not so very proud of that trait.

But even if I have this really annoying characteristic, I happen to have love for my readers and I never get tired of you guys, I WILL NEVER! That's why I keep on writing this story, no matter what.

I know sooner than later, you will get tired of waiting. But I am really hoping you wouldn't and I ask for your patience guys, lots of patience. And if ever, you wouldn't be able to give me that, I would understand that and it will be my fault, not yours, I have a bad habit and I don't expect you to accept that. But I do hope you will understand my {the} reason why this story is taking too long to have an update.

I just wanted you to know that no matter what happened, I will finish this story. I'm already a disappointment to you guys (Which is actually my number one character, I'm very good with disappointing people I love), but, I don't wanna disappoint you anymore. I will not make any promises anymore when this story will be finish or when will be the next update, because the truth is I am not very good with keeping my promises (another bad traits of mine, dumarami na yung listahan ng bad character ko, you hate me now, right?) but I can guarantee you guys na tatapusin ko po ang kwentong ito at ipa-published ko po dito ang lahat till the end.

Just hang on, alright! Pleaaassseeeee!!!!
