Recap.

“No, that’s why I have to do it. If I don’t you will never go on into the afterlife, because of the damn curse! Remember, all Alpha’s souls get trapped, forever circling the earth in different bodies. I will not sit back and let you or anyone else suffer because of one poor man’s mistakes. I can fix this, and you need to let me.”

He just quietly sobbed knowing he couldn’t change my mind. I was just hoping I can lift the curse. He leant back, gently held my head with his hands and kissed me, ever so lightly. I could feel all the love he felt for me in that one kiss. I had to do it now or I would change my mind.

“Never forget Brody, I LOVE you.”

Before he could say a work, I let Aeries take over and I was gone.

Brody’s P.O.V

I couldn’t stop crying, my mate was gone and I may never see her again, if the curse isn’t broken she would have done it all for nothing. This is all my fault, I drove her away. I love her so much and she is gone.  I just held onto her body tight, trying to commit her smell deep into my memory.

“Brody?”

I snapped my head up and looked deep into her eyes.

“Alexis?”

“No I’m sorry, I’m Aeries.”

I couldn’t help but sob, she truly was gone.

“I need you to let out Kurock, and I will try my hardest to get her back.”

I sniffed back the last of my tears, let her go and nodded. I was so crushed it will be easy to let him out. I relaxed my body and concentrated, letting my body go. Soon I was gone as well.

Aeries P.O.V.

I looked at Brody, seeing his soul leave and Kurocks enter. He looked at me confused.

“Alexis? What’s happening, why has Brody let me gain control?”

“Hello my love,”

He looked shocked, stunned just frozen in place.

“Aeries?”

“Yes my darling, it’s me”

He rushed to me and grabbed me into his arms. Tears leaked from his eyes, as he sobbed quietly.

“What’s wrong?”

“I’m so happy, I thought I would never find you, let alone be able to see you, hear you and talk to you.”

He held my face and looked deep into my eyes. He quickly leant in and pressed his lips to mine. He deepened the kiss and I couldn’t help but kiss him back. Before the kiss could get too heated I pulled back, even though I didn’t want anything else we didn’t have long to break the curse. He looked confused, hurt and rejected. His grip on me tightened, his nails digging into me. He seemed angry, before he could get any angrier I pressed my lips quickly and lightly to his.

“I’m not rejecting you, I want this more than anything else in the world, but we have to break the curse!”

“Why?! We have control over the bodies now, we can life our life together!”

“No. I will not take Alexis’s chance of happiness. We had our chance, our life. I will not take theirs.”

“And it’s all my fault. I can’t be with you, because I….killed you! I am evil and discusting. I don’t deserve you.”

I grabbed both sides of his face and made him look into my eyes. I could see the misery in his eyes.

“Now you listen to me now! It was not your fault; it was never your fault! If anything it was me being foolish creeping up behind a powerful Alpha wolf. You were just being the amazing, kind hearted Alpha you are. You were fighting for and protecting your pack! I should have never listened to Boracks lies! I do not blame you. You need to let go. If you do, we can life happily together in the afterlife. But we will NOT take Brody’s and Alexis’s chance of life.”

He looked back into my eyes, with so much love it made me breathless.

“You really forgive me?”

“There was nothing to forgive you silly sod!”

With that he closed his eyes, pressed a kiss to my lips and finally let go of the burden he had been carrying for hundreds of years.
