Bein' the Deputy was a lousy job
the town was such a mess
Clean up the litter, 3Gun had said
a rotten task to assess
The stables were first
had to care for each horse
Feed and curry
and exercise of course
How had this happened
the time was all screwy
It was like a month had passed
but that's just hooey
It took a few days
with the help of a mob
All pressed into service
as a Deputy's job
