Eleana:

I woke up in a weird and uncomfortable environment. The bright sunlight was peeking through the chiffon curtains. I closed my eyes due to the flinching light and when I opened them again, I noticed that I was in a hospital room in a hospital bed. The smell of chlorine was surrounding me. And then, the previous night came crashing back all of a sudden.

"Aryan!" I whispered to myself and threw the blankets away. I jumped down from the bed and ran outside towards the ICU where they had taken him last night. Aena Aunty and Sahir uncle were present there. Aena Aunty was sitting beside his bed holding his hand and her head was buried by his side in the bed. Her cries came out muffled as she tried to control her emotions but who could do that even if someone else was in her place. Sahir uncle stood there, looking as if he had not slept in ages. The sight of Aryan shattered my heart even more. The once happy and smiling Aryan was now covered in bandages. A bandage was wrapped around his forehead and around his left wrist. He had a torn shoulder muscle and a broken rib. The breathing mask was permanently present over his nose. The rest of the body was covered with scratches and cuts. One of them below his lower lip was the worst one. It was bleeding the most yesterday. Not being able to bear that heart shattering sight, I stepped backward. I closed the door behind me and slumped on the ground, bringing my knees closer to my chest. I thought of yesterday when he had confessed his love for me. We both were so happy but then I ruined the whole moment. I destroyed it completely. Unwillingly, a whimper escaped my mouth. I sat there for some time before Varun spotted me

"Elly, you have not eaten anything! Come on!" He tried to convince me to eat something but how could I when he wasn't eating.

"Varun, I told you before and I am telling you again that I will not eat anything unless he does. So stop bugging me time and again." I snapped at him very rudely.

"Elly, You need to eat!" He scolded me.

"Varun, please! For God's sake, leave me alone!" I yelled back at him.

He tried to speak something but them backed away as he curled his fingers into a fist. He sighed deeply and leaned his hand forward to pull me up from the floor. The hospital was getting crowded now. Despite of all the haste, I was unable to feel anything, to see anything or hear anything. The only person that was occupying my thoughts was Aryan. My heart bled for him. Varun guided me towards the spare room that he had managed to get for us after talking to the authorities. We were in the same hospital where Varun, Shraddha and Aryan worked but Aryan was in the Nuero department. Varun and Shraddha worked in the ENT department. Currently, we were outside the VIP ICU. The whole floor was empty beside us being there. Everybody was still in the hospital. I went near Mom and Dad and sat between them. They were equally traumatized to learn about his accident as his own parents. They loved him as much as they loved me. I placed my head in Mom's lap. Mom force fed me the milk. I didn't feel like eating anything at all.

"Varun beta [son], Call Sahir and Aena here. They need some rest and they need to eat something as well." Dad asked Varun. He nodded and went outside. Soon, he came back with Sahir uncle and Aena Aunty. Sahir uncle was still trying to keep everything in control but Aena Aunty had given up. She looked like a lifeless soul in the body of a beautiful woman. Varun held her hand and guided her to the couch. She sat there, oblivious of everything. She loved Aryan the most. She could not conceive after Aryan and that was why all her love was for Aryan. He was still her baby.
