<-------------- If you vote, I'd be the happiest girl alive. :) But some don't care for me so. :(

New description, check that out too :) ------------->

& For those asking, Jacob cannot control his stuttering. It's natural for him but he does it more when he's nervous. The reason why he is a 'nerd' all of a sudden will be revealed later in the book. >;) I can't wait to write it! You're gonna be hella shocked. TRUST!!! :D

"You did not just do that!" I squealed.

Jacob smirked, "I-I think I just did!"

He just smeared ice cream all over my face and mouth. Apparently I was 'blabbing too much' so this is how he repays me. Freaking jerk!

We were sitting in a booth at the local ice cream joint 'Fraziers'. They legit have the best ice cream, I couldn't imagine a better date. Whoa, what?!

I quickly shook that thought out of my head and glared at Jacob who was almost in tears from laughing so hard. Har Har. So not funny!

"You have five seconds to run." I threatened.

He rose an eyebrow, "Or?" He challenged.

"One."

"I-Is the baby upset s-she got ice cream o-on her nose?" He teased.

"Damn right I am. Two."

"You won't hurt m-me."

"Three."

I gave him my best glare in hopes that he would get scared because honestly, I had no idea what I'm counting for. I just want to avoid talking about that whole situation earlier at school.

 "Four."

"W-When did you a-and Justin break u-up?" Jacob suddenly asked.

I wasn't all that taken back by his question, so I was able to regain my composure, "A few days ago." I shrugged, as if it were no big deal when in reality, my heart was hanging by a thread.

His eyes widened, "W-Why?!"

I looked away, "Something about rumors and how he couldn't take them anymore before he started to believe them himself." I whispered. It was barely audible, I know. I could already feel that hurt starting in my chest.

Being with Jacob helped that hurt stay away. Even if it was just for a little while, he took it away. But not even Jacob could stop the pain from hitting me as hard.

"O-Oh my gosh! Wh-Wh...A-Are...H-H..."

I grabbed his hand from across the table. He was totally freaking out. He was almost as shocked as I was, if not even more. It's nice to know someone cared. Even after all the hell Justin put him through, he still cared. I couldn't ask for a better friend. He's genuine.

We both looked down at our intertwined hands. I felt warm inside as I held his hand. It's nice to feel comfort when I'm practically dying inside.

I looked back up to his eyes and gave him a reassuring smile, "Calm down." I soothed, running my thumb along his knuckles. "It's fine, really. I can't blame him, I wasn't thinking about how everything was effecting him. I didn't think about him enough and that was a mistake on my part."

He still looked worried, "I-Is that why you w-were running? T-That's why you were str-stressed?"

I sighed, but nodded, "Yeah. I mean- Sorry, you probably don't want to hear me blab. This 'date' is supposed to be about us." I smiled, or tried, because I could tell Jacob didn't buy it for one bit.
