Out of the Blue... // A John "Swazz" Swift Story

I rolled out of my bed and hit the floor groaning. "Goddamn alarms" I hit my clock until it shut off.

"Why are you on the floor?" John asked rolling over to the side of the bed

"Fucking alarms" I groaned

"You're always such a morning person...why so mad?" He laughed

"I'm a morning person when I wake up on my own"

"I'll go make you coffee! Will that help?" He offered

"I ran out yesterday" I whined

"I'll hit up Starbucks then" he laughed putting his clothes from yesterday on.

"I love you" I smiled but then froze when I realized what happened...I said I loved him. For the first time. Ever. It was true but still, I said it.

"I love you to" he helped pull me off the ground and kissed my forehead before leaving.

While he was gone I decided to get ready for my interview. I had to be creative with my outfits seeing as I had packed most of my stuff for the trip tomorrow.

I let my hair out of its ponytail from last night, figuring I would shower when I got back home. I fixed up the few curls that had fallen out and reapplied my makeup. From what was left in my closet I pulled out a cardigan and lace crop top with some dark denim jeans and nude heels. I threw that in and grabbed my watch.

John walked upstairs with the coffees and handed me mine. "Thanks babe" I have him a kiss for the first time this morning.

"Of course, anything for you. But the boys asked me to go to the studio with them...I don't have to if-" I cut him off

"John you don't have to ask me to go with your friends. I'm your girlfriend not your mother go have fun with the boys and do your thing. I'll be fine" I chuckled

"God I love you! Have fun with your interview and I'll come over tonight and stay maybe." He kissed my head

"Don't the boys miss you? You've stayed here a lot lately" I laughed "not that I mind"

"I mean I'm sure they miss you to, you should stay there tonight!" He suggested

"If you want me to and they're okay with that" I nodded

"Okay come over whenever!" He said before leaving

I sat down in the chair opposite the interviewer. "Hello my name is Kathrine Miller and I have gotten the chance to sit down with Adilynn Greene the newest and only official surfer for GLOBE international since the split of their long time merge with RipCurl." She introduced "Thank you for agreeing to join us Adilynn"

"Of course! Thank you for having me"

"So let's start out with some simple business related questions and move into some more personal ones. The purpose of this interview is to let us see how you live life and get a feel for who you are!" She explained "so first question, how did you get discovered?"

"Well basically I have always loved surfing and I moved into this house on the beach with a friend a few month or so ago and a couple weeks ago Mr. Grey, the owner of GLOBE, showed up at my door asking about the surfer who lived there, saying he wanted to talk about future plans." I laughed "not gonna lie it sounded like some pretty shady" I paused for a second looking to Kathrine, "am I aloud to curse?" I asked and she nodded, "it sounded like some pretty shady shit," I continued "but it was the chance of a life time" I smiled

"So how has it been so far? Was it what you thought?"

"More or less. I hadn't actually thought much about it, I'm a very impulsive person and so I just went for it. It's great though, everybody at GLOBE is very welcoming and they just are a great group of people to be around"
