 Rosalie's POV

I liked every picture and commented on every single video. My mind was spinning around and around. His eyes, his hair, his face, and everything about him. His singing was the sound of an angel. No girl could resist anyone like Manu. I surely couldn't. The fact that I saw other girl's tweets under his pictures angered me. Couldn't they understand that Manu belonged to me, and only me. I have never been this obsessed over any boy before, but he is so different.

"Rosy it's dinner time."

My mother comes in with her arms crossed, but I'm really hungry right now.

"I'm not hungry mom."

My eyes still glued to my phone. I make him my profile picture on all of my social media accounts.

"You have been acting really weird over the last few days. What have you been doing on that phone?"

She takes a step closer to my bed but I turn my phone off. She doesn't need to always be in my business. Can't she leave me alone? Parents..

"Nothing. I'm just not really hungry today."

"You said that yesterday."

"Sorry."

It's a silence and then she leaves. Finally, let me have some alone time. She was always bothering me about the same crap over and over again. She was old. Social media was the present day's drug. Every person who got one Instagram account became addicted. I was addicted, but not Instagram, but to Manu Rios.

Buzzzzzz

I look up to see my phone ringing. It was my best friend Vivian. We had been best friends since middle school. Since I was in Spain she had been worrying about me all week. Her dad was from Ethiopia and her mom was from Ibiza the Mediterranean Island. She moved to San Francisco and that is where she met me. We became locked.

"Hey Vivi!"

"Hey! Did your plane land safely?"

"Yes, Spain is so beautiful! I love the food and the culture. It's perfect."

I felt weird for changing my emotion with Vivi but not with my mom. I felt bad now, and fake.

"It's pretty boring in my house right now.

I remembered our time zones were different.

"My mom and dad went out to eat, and I'm stuck with my big sister and her boyfriend."

"Wait what? Ivy has a boyfriend?!"

She had never told me this. Her parents were usually very strict about boyfriends and stuff. Weird.

"Mom and dad don't even know about it. They are basically sneaking. He climbed in through her window."

Her voice starts to whisper a bit. I'm in shock. Ivy was like the definition of goodie goodie. She always did her work just like Vivian did, but Vivian received more attention at my school, because she was known for being beautiful and different. I'm guessing it was because she was mixed.

"Well is he cute?"

"Um.."

That means no.

"He looks like he smokes. I don't trust him to be honest. He doesn't treat Ivy very well."

"What do you mean? Is he hitting her or something?"

"Not exactly but he yells at her sometimes, and she starts crying. I have no idea why."

I'm silent for a couple of moments.  I hope Vivian would be safe around this guy. I'm so far away from her right now that if something happens I can't help her. Winter break ends in about one more week.
