"Annnnnnd, there! It's all covered up." Jenna exclaims, pulling away with a small smile. She puts away her makeup supplies while I look in the mirror. Thanks to her magic skills, there is no bruise on my face. "Here, let me do your hair now."
As I sit in front of Jenna, I can't help but wonder where our boys are. After this morning, Josh went to get Tyler, and Jenna came into our room, saying they left somewhere. She almost cried when she saw my face. Since then, she has been doing my makeup.
It's silent for a while, her phone playing music. We both are singing along quietly, enjoying this moment. I look at her in the mirror, admiring her appearance. Even though Josh woke them up early, and seconds later she came to the room, she sure did look beautiful like always. She's wearing Tyler's clothes: a black shirt with black and white sweatpants. Her hair is in a messy bun but she's totally rocking it.
"If I tell you something, will you stay quiet about it?" Jenna suddenly says. I can't help but scrunch my eyebrows as I nod. "Josh burst into our room crying. It scared Tyler. He jumped out of bed quicker than ever. Held Josh while he was trying to speak. All he could get out was fragments. I hear him say something about you being hurt, and Tyler look at me and I left. What exactly happened, Abby-Lynn...?"
I sigh, turning around after she finished my hair. We both sit cross cross from each other. She watches me, encouraging me to speak while I try to gain the courage.
"It's simple, really. He was having a nightmare, a really bad one. And during his dream, he was clawing into his arms, blood was starting to come out. I didn't want him hurting himself... So I just tried moving his hand, that's all I did. I moved his hand and just called his name a couple of times. And he swung his arms and it hit me. I sat up and held his hand against it until he woke up. That's all that happened." I look down the whole time while talking about it.
"He's still having those nightmares?" Jenna's voice cracks. I look up at her and see tears in her eyes. I nod, and she closes her eyes, taking a couple of deep breaths. "I know something that may help him. Come with me."
She grabs my hand and pulls me with her, turning off the lights as she goes to the door. Grabbing my phone and keycard, I give her a puzzled look.
"We are going to go call someone who means a lot to our little Josh."

We've been walking around for town for a while now, just wondering. We have no clue where we are, but Josh has stopped crying, so it doesn't matter. After Jenna left the room, I handed Josh a hoodie and suggested we go on a walk. I haven't asked Josh much, and Jenna texted me a photo of Abby with a description that she was told. I can see why Josh is beating himself so much over it.
"Let's stop here buddy." I tap his shoulder and he nods, deciding to sit on the ground against the brick building. I decide to sit down next to him. The sun is starting to rise and the sky is a beautiful mixture of colors.
"I didn't mean to do it." Is all he says. Looking over at him, I see that he is about to start crying again. "I'm not one of those boyfriends who hits their girls. It was an accident. I was asleep." I nod, listening to him.
"You were asleep, Josh. It's not your fault that she got hurt." He looks at me when I say this, eyes staring into mine.
"What if she hates me?" His voice cracks. Quickly, I take my phone out and dial Abby's number.
"Hello?" Her voice rings through the phone, and Josh starts to stand up, but I tug him back down.
"Do you hate Josh." I watch Josh as I say this, regretting the fact that I'm so blunt about it, but it's the only way I know right now.
"Of course not. I love him." She sounds so confused. "Is he there? Josh, are you blaming yourself for it?"
"It's my fault." He stutters out, putting his hands on his head.
"Joshua Dun. You listen to me. Don't you dare think that. You were asleep. Asleep! I'm ok, that's all that matters. I love you." Abby's voice is stern while she talks. If this wasn't a sad moment, or a phone call, I would totally high five her right now.
"I love you." Josh whispers into the phone, hitting the end call button. Shoving it back into my pocket, I look at him.
"She's right you know. You can't control what you do during your nightmares. She knows this, and she's ok with it. She loves you and wants to be beside you, even during your nightmare. Do you know why she got so close to you during it?" I lift up his hoodie, and on his arm to reveal five wounds on his arm. I lift up his hand, and compare the marks to his fingernails.
"You were hurting yourself in your sleep. She wanted you up. She knew the possible outcome of trying to do that while you have nightmares, but she didn't care. She loves you, man. I don't know what's going on through your head right now, but I'm pretty sure what you need is to be around her, to see that she is ok."
He stares at me the whole time while I talk. When I finish, he glances back down at his arm. Rolling down his sleeve, he stands up. I stand up beside him, and he looks over at me with a smirk.
"I'll race you back home." And he bolts.
