I wake up to my phone ringing on the nightstand. Opening my eyes, I reach over. Without even looking who's calling, I answer.

"Hello?" My voice is clouded with sleep, so I quickly clear my throat.

"Oh my god. Abby-Lynn! Are you ok? Liz and I have been trying to contact you since we lost you at the concert!" Emily's voice is loud and clear through the phone, and I sit up abruptly, which causes Josh to wake up in a panic.

"What's wrong?" He asks, dazed. I look at him with wide eyes, and put her on the speaker.

"Is that Josh? Omg! Hi Josh!" She shrieks, and I pull the phone away, blinking at it. Muting my line, I look towards Josh, who has bed head and sleepy eyes.

"It's my friend. One of the two that left me." His eyes widen, and he shakes his head.

"Be careful. She hasn't answered anything from you since they deserted you. Now she calls and knows exactly who you're with?" He states, leaning in my shoulder. My breathing drops. Twitter, she must've seen it...

"What made you call, Emily? Is everything ok?" I ask, after unmuting her. I start to bite my nails, but Josh takes my free hand in his and squeezes.

"I should be asking you! You must've dazed off during the concert. Liz and I looked everywhere for you. Does Josh know about your... You know. Blackouts?" When she says this, Josh's hand tightens around mine.

"I didn't daze off during the concert. You guys left me." My voice is monotone, and he starts to rub my back in soothing circles.

"We would never do such a thing!" She exclaims, shock evident.

"But you did." Looking over at Josh, I roll my eyes.

"I swear, you need to get checked out again. Those blackouts are starting to become a major problem for you. They're even starting to cloud your judgement." As I scoff at this, Josh snatches the phone from my hand.

"Hey. You and your friend should totally come to a show. We are performing tonight in Charlotte, North Carolina. Just tell the people who you are." His voice is emotionless, and he has an evil gleam in his eye. My mouth falling open, I look at him. As Emily screams, I click the mute button.

"What are you doing?" He shakes his head at me, scrunching his nose.

"Friends don't judge each other like she just did. It's not fair to you and she was totally insulting you. It's not cool. No one does that to my girl." And with that, he unmutes her.

"So can you come?" Josh is holding onto the phone lazily, and I put my face into the crook of his neck, sighing.

"Of course we can come, oh my god!"

"Cool. I'll text you the details." He hangs up on her before she can say anything else. Josh quickly stands up, putting on a shirt.

"Where are you going?" I look at him like a lost puppy, and he goes to my side of the bed and pulls me into a hug.

"I'm going to go talk to Tyler. I'm sorry, baby girl. But it made me so mad, hearing her talk like that to you. I'll send Jenna in here." Before he leaves, he kisses my forehead gently.

"She insulted her based on her medical reasons! That's not freaking cool. And she tried to act like she was looking out for her but you could hear the evilness in her voice." I explain to Tyler. I'm sitting on his floor and he is sitting on the edge of his bed, deep in thought.

"So, what do you have in mind? You did invite them to the show." He has his hand placed under his chin, eyebrow cocked.

"I don't know. I personally don't want to meet them. I was maybe thinking we could do like, a friendship thing tonight. Like during your speeches, talk about friendship. Because you know Abby, she is a sweetheart and she deserves better friends." I ramble, running a hand through my hair. He nods, and gives a tiny smirk.

"I know what to do. I got you, buddy. Don't worry. Besides this though, you seem even more attached to her than before. Did something happen, Jish?" Tyler leans in, almost like how you would imagine a teenage girl who is gossiping would. Biting my lips to stop my smile, I look up at him, my past anger completely forgotten.

"Yeah, Ty. Last night I kissed her."
