Hide And Seek ~ Josh Dun

Chapter 16

(No general P.O.V.)

"Hey, everyone. Before we start this next song, we are gonna have someone join us. We haven't played this song in ages, but we are bringing it back because it is one of her favorites, and Josh loves it. Don't you, Jishawa?" Tyler voice rings out through the venue which is now silent. Everyone is clinging onto his words, everyone excited to hear who the guest is. Josh nods excitedly, grinning like a fool, hiding behind his hands and the crowd screams.

Josh steps out from behind his drum set, and sits on the edge of the platform, waiting.

"This person has recently joined us on tour, and they have actually changed our lives." Tyler coughs. "Josh's." He coughs again and the crowd dies as Josh glares at him. "But honestly, she is the sweetest thing you'll ever meet. She has become a family to Josh and I, and my wife's friend within a matter of days. It makes us remember how strong this clique is, because just a couple of weeks ago she was only a fan. But now, she is touring the world with us, and we wouldn't want it any other way. Please welcome, my great fren, Abby-Lynn!" The crowd releases ear piercing screams.

Jenna pushes Abby onto the stage, who is looking down and blushing. Josh walks over to her, grabs her hand and pulls her to center stage, which makes the crowd go absolutely wild. Josh hands Abby a microphone, giving her a million dollar smile, going back to his spot behind his drum set.

"Say hi, Abby." Tyler whispers into the microphone, and laughs ring throughout the crowd.

"H-hi. Sorry, I didn't know I would be coming out here." Abby's face is red as she talks to the crowd. Everyone screams hello back to her, encouraging her to be more comfortable.

"Josh kinda planned this all. Let's give a round of applause for Josh and Abby!" Tyler is so energetic on stage, that it starts rubbing off on Abby. "Ok. Everyone ready?"

The crowd yells. Abby looks out into the crowd, looking at all of the head before her, staring into some of the eyes who smile at her. She is now relaxed, feeling at home on stage with Tyler and Josh. If you told her a couple of months ago that she'd be on stage with Twenty One Pilots, let alone touring with them, she'd call you crazy. But now here she is, with the band that saved her life more than once.

"This one goes out to all of you." They start playing the intro to Anathema. "We want to thank you for being our fans, you all mean the world to us. Let's all treat Abby like she is part of this band. Ok? She is one of us. One of you." And with that, Tyler nods at Abby-Lynn, and she starts singing.

The crowd is quiet, in awe as she sings. Josh loses himself as he listens to her voice bellow out throughout the venue, filling him with sound. Tyler and Abby sing the chorus together, acing it. The crowd screams, astonished at how well their voices fit together.

Abby is dancing among the stage, she has lost herself in the music. Before the rapping part, Tyler nods at her, giving her the permission to take it over. He walks off stage, hugging his wife who is watching from offstage. Together, they watch their friend finish the song perfectly.

"Cause the other half of my hearts asleep." Out of breath, Abby drops the microphone from her mouth, and holds it by her side as the crowd erupts with cheers. Josh doesn't even think before jumping over his drum set and gathering her up in his arms. Together, they look out in the crowd, hand in hand.

Tyler comes back out, Jenna on his arm. For about a minute, they all just look at each other and the fans. In this moment, they were all content, surrounded by love and friends.

"Thank you so much for tonight. You guys are the best fans ever, I swear. We are Twenty One Pilots, and so are you!" Tyler is breathless as he speaks into the microphone. Every night he performs, but every night he is reminded again by how much he loves everyone. Josh looks at him, wrapping his arm around his shoulder, and they bow together.

The crowd starts chanting "We love you" louder than the boys have ever heard, and they tear up. Josh wraps his arms around Abby's shoulders from behind, his face hidden in her neck as he listened to the crowd. Tyler hugged Jenna, facing the crowd as Jenna rubbed his back.

"We love you guys, more than you'll ever know." Josh says, after grabbing Abby's microphone. Then he lifts his hands, and created the logo with his fingers. Tyler looks at his friend, and does the same, facing the fans. Slowly, they watch as the crowd follows them, and soon, everyone in the venue has the hands up, even the crew members back stage.

Then, Tyler and Josh wave goodbye to their fans, and walk offstage.
