Chapter 44

(Josh P.O.V.)

"NOT FAIR YOU CHEATED." Tyler yells, pouting. I bite my lip to stop from laughing as I tell the vendor which stuffed animal I want. I decide to get a purple teddy bear about the size of my forearm. Handing it to Abby-Lynn, she grins at me and kisses my cheek. All of me just hopes she's having a good time. I know she doesn't necessarily like heights, but she's gone on every ride with me so far.

"Where do you wanna go now, baby?" Whenever I call her baby, the tips of her ears turn red. Her face only blushes now if it's something super important, but it's still hella cute. She shrugs and looks around, standing on her tip toes. Gasping, she looks at me with a twinkle in her eyes.

"Let's go on the graviton!" Jenna gasps, and grabs Tyler's hand.

"We're coming with!" Our girls pull us towards the ride, Tyler and I just talking as we shuffle our feet to make them mad. Once we finally get there, they both let go of our hands and glare at us, to which we just laugh.

Abby takes her teddy bear on the ride, holding it against her chest. I choose the spot next to her, turning my head so I just staring at her.

She is the most beautiful thing ever. Her hair has faded so much that it looks like a strawberry blonde color, but she can totally pull it off. She catches me staring and smile. I peck her lips, causing her to giggle. Pulling away, I lick my lips.

"You taste like chocolate." I whisper, chuckling. She nods excitedly and pulls out her chapstick. After she reapplies it, she kisses me one more time, and I can't help but smirk.

The ride starts, and eventually we are both stuck against the wall. She is laughing her head off with Jenna who is across from her. Slowly, after making sure it's ok with the person working, I turn sideways, face near AbbyLynn, feet near no one. She gasps and giggles, trying to pet my hair, but winding up just laying her hand on my head.

As it starts slowing down, I get back into the normal position. After we get off, we all can't stop laughing. This is turning out to be one of my best birthdays.

"One last ride, baby." Abby says, looking at her phone. "We have to leave to the next city tonight." I nod and tap a finger on my chin, trying to decide.

"I know where I want to go." I grab her hand and we walk slowly to it, in no rush to get there. When we get under the Ferris wheel, she smiles, laying her head on my shoulder.

We are placed into a purple cart, and the person sends us off with a smile. Abby is holding tightly onto my hand, scared. I pull her closer to me, and I can feel her relax a bit. Looking out at the sky, I can't help but take my phone out and get a picture. The sunset is so beautiful. Then I turn the camera towards us. Snapping a photo, I can't help but adore how beautiful she is.

It's now or never. Might as well make it cute though. Stealthily, I slide the screen over to record and hit the record button.

"Abby-Lynn." I whisper, and she looks at the camera than at me, smiling. Her hair is glowing under the sunset, causing her eyes to twinkle. I stare into them, gaining courage. "I love you."

Her mouth drops, blush covering her face. Quickly, she grabs my face and kisses me, a passionate kiss. When she pulls away, blush is still all over. She leans her forehead against mine, hand still on my cheek,

"I love you, Josh." I stop recording now, and kiss her eagerly. Best birthday ever.
