Seven years had passed since the Russian spies took my sisters. Five years had passed since the last time I was called 'Miss Lamar' and now 'Mrs. Wess', marrying Andrew. Four years had passed with the birth of my first child, a young girl named Annabelle Lee, and six months had passed since the birth of my son, Joden Davis.

I became a stay at home mother, deciding that it would be best for me to raise my kids. However, that hadn't stopped me from getting into fights or protecting the whole community that ran underneath me. Yes, at the age of twenty-five, I became the youngest and the first female to hold the Alpha position.

Most of the group was fine with me being the Alpha because I had been just as good, if not better than my father with fighting and with leading. Sure, there were some complaints from people that didn't think I had the experience to lead, but there would always be complaints as to what I did, so I didn't really care. I just proved my worth and proved the fact that I was, in fact, a good Alpha, even though I was "young and immature/"

Crying broke through my thoughts, causing me to sigh and check the milk that I had been heating up while I was contemplating life. "All right, Bud, I'm coming," I said, walking to his bedroom where I had placed him down for a nap.

When I got to the baby's bedroom, I couldn't help but smile when I saw my husband holding the crying baby. He started to sing to him, and I loved his deep voice like it was the first time that he had sung to me. He turned to see me and smiled when he saw that I was holding our baby's bottle.

"Here," I said, handing it to him. "You can feed Joden."

Andy chuckled and nodded his head. He grabbed the bottle and fed it to him while I walked in and leaned against him. He kissed my forehead. "How are you, Love?" he asked, his deep voice causing me to melt.

"Good," I replied. "Work is easy. I have new people coming in, and they are doing good. There have been no Birds that tell other agencies what is going on."

He nodded his head. "Any word from the leader who had kidnapped your sisters?"

I grimaced and shook my head, hating the fact that it had been seven years and nothing had been passed through the grapevine about the kidnapping. "No," I replied. "And, I hope that I will never have to hear from him again."

"And if you do?"

I smirked and kissed my husband's cheek. "Then, I will kill him," I replied, simply. "No one messes with my family."

Andy grinned. "Good," he said. "And I will stand by you, always." He kissed my forehead, and I couldn't help but feel as if my life was complete.

Sure, that something might happen in the future, but I was content on right here and right now. And nobody was going to change it.
