“Good evening, Miss. I wanted to know if you still have any copy of the book, “Because I Am A Girl”???”tanong ko sa saleslady nitong bookstore.

Tila nagniningning ang mga matang tumango ito, “Y-yes, Sir. This way sir..” sabi nito at pinasunod nga ako sa kanya.

Nagulat ako ng may isang bukod tanging stand sa may gitna nitong bookstore ang inilaan para lang sa copies noong libro. Woah, I said to myself, this book is really something. Napatingin ako sa nakasabit na poster sa taas ng stand at nanlaki ang mga mata ng makitang ito na ang bestseller ng lahat ng branches ng bookstore only after a week of release nito.

“Here it is, Sir, the book that you were looking for. May I help you with anything more Sir???” baling sa akin ng saleslady sabay ngiti at kindat nito. Tss -___-, what the heck is that wink for?!?!?!

Umiling ako at binigyan ito ng pekeng ngiti. Ever since Shinby went away, I’ve been only showing fake smiles to everyone---except for Airah and her family, of course---because it is ONLY Shinby who could put genuine smiles into my face.

“Wala na. Salamat sa tulong. Pwede mo na akong iwan.” Sabi ko. I have made it obvious that I don’t need her presence anymore.

“A-ah…o-okay S-sir…Just call me if you need help…”at umalis na nga ito. Tss, call her if I need help?? I could just simply ask the other saleslady around right?? Psh, girls these days are getting more pathetic -___-

Lumapit na lang ako dun sa stand and got myself a copy of the book. Really?? What makes this book special?!?! It has a cover of a crying girl sitting on her bed with both of her hands on her face. The book even has a quote that says, “True Love always finds ways to understand PAIN”. The book is written by SAM and it is in english. Binasa ko ang summary sa likod ng libro.

Hindi ko maintindihan pero tila nagkaroon ng malaking parte sa akin ang librong ito. Nanlalamig bigla ang mga kamay ko at nanlalambot ang mga tuhod ko. Ba-bakit ganito??? Bakit halos kapareho ng naging takbo ng istorya namin ni Shinby ang kwentong napapaloob sa librong ito???

I sighed deeply before I have finally decided to get a copy of the book for myself. Pagkatapos kong magbayad sa counter ay dumaan ako sa isang coffee shop to get myself a cup of java.

Habang naghihintay sa loob ng coffee shop, I have decided to surf the net for information about the book. It got good reviews from famous and credible critics from all around the world. Everyone seems to be smitten about it.

Pero hindi iyon ang gusto kong malaman. Ang gusto kong malaman ay kung saan nakuha ng author na iyon ang ideya para sa librong ito?? Malaks ang kutob ko na hindi isang simpleng insidente lang ang halos pagkakapareho ng mga pinagdaanan namin ni Shinby sa kwento nila Cassie at Adrian.
