Jacob

It was lunch now. I haven't really talked to anyone, I mean it's my first day. There is this one girl though.. her name is Kaitlyn I think. I met her this morning in gym.

"Water or milk?" The lunch lady asks me.

"Uhh water." I say grabbing it. She gives me a smile and I leave the line. I stand in front of the whole cafeteria scanning the large room. Woah. This is definitely a lot different than my last school. I went to a private school before.

Out of the corner of my eye I see someone waving at me. It's Kaitlyn. I smile and walk towards Kaitlyn and her friends.

"Hey Jacob!" She greets me.

I sit down next to Kaitlyn, she scoots a little closer to me.

"Jacob, this is Brianna, Amanda, and Maddie." She says pointing to each individual. Nice group of attractive girls.

Lunch goes by pretty fast. I finish up my last bite of pizza, and throw the tray away.

"What class do you have next?" Kaitlyn asks me.

"Uhh history I think."

"Awh" She pouts. "I have math."

"You wanna meet after school?" I ask

"I'd love to. Meet me by Mr. Johnson's room!" She gets on her tip toes and kisses my cheek. I automatically feel them begin to heat up.

*After school*

I walk down the long hallway. A girl trips right in front of me. I quickly help her up.

"I'm so sorry." She sighs. I can't help but look into her bright blue eyes.

"It's okay. What's your name?" I ask automatically regretting it.

"Emma." She smiles. I was about to say something when...

"Jacob!" Kaitlyn signals for me to go over there. I leave Emma, and walk with Kaitlyn back to my house.

Emma

I'm such a flop. I say to myself. I finally talked to the new kid Jacob, but not in the way I pictured.

He is friends with Kaitlyn. Seriously? She annoys me very much. There's just something about her.

When I reached my house. I took my shoes off at the front door and walked up to my room.

"Ahh bed, old friend. I missed you so much!" I yell collapsing onto it. I'm exhausted.

I pull out my phone, checking instagram. Same old duck faces and shoutouts, until I see a picture that catches my eye.

It was a picture of Kaitlyn kissing Jacob's cheek.

'New friends are always great😍' was the caption. I press my thumb against the screen when I see Jacob's username pop up.

I quickly tap on it. His page appears. I see selfies and pictures with his old friends I assume.

Now following Jacob Sartorius.

I shut off my phone, and decide to take a shower.
