*Cali's POV*

I've secretly been dating this guy. Cora knows but I threatened her not to tell mom or dad. His name is James. He plays baseball. I've gone to one of his games with his sister. She is in our grade but she's 9 months younger than James.

James is such a goof ball. But he's like my best friend. Cora says we will date for a really long time. Which I hope we do.

"Cali, hey." James runs up to he and grabs my hand.

"Hey!" I jump a bit at his movement. Nobody's ever held my hand besides my family or close friends.

"Yeah, James! Get it!" I hear a kid yell.

"Awe, Cali." Harley says.

Harley is dating Coltan. Who is one of James' best friends.

"Who wants to walk Froyo?" Coltan asks.

"Oh, ME!" I yell.

"Cora you coming?" Harley asks.

"uh, no one to go with."

"c'mon! you can get a date. You look just like me!" I say

"If I didn't like Cali, I'd like you. You are both hot." James states

"Thanks."

"No problem." James raps his arm around my waist.

"Fine, lets see. Ah, him?" She points to a tall kid.

"Nah, too tall. how about him?" I ask pointing to a muscular football player.

"Him." Harley points to a blonde with floppy hair and some Jordan's.

"The new kid?"

"He's hot." I state.

"Dang, Cali." James looks at me.

"What? you called my sister hot."

"She looks just like you." He laughs.

"I'm the pretty one." I state.

"Dang, Cali." Cora places her hand on her heart.

Cora started walking to the new kid.

all I saw was that he nodded and followed her over to our group.

"Hey, my name is James." James gives him the 'bro' hug.

"Colton."

"I am Cali."

"Harley."

"And I'm Cora as I told you earlier today." She says.

"I'm Drake."

"So you're the next rapper?" I ask

"What?" He asks. Everyone looks at me funny.

"Really? Drake is a rapper, so I asked him if he was the next rapper because drake and drake."

"Oh, that makes since." Harley laughs.

"Cause I haven't heard that one before." he laughs.

"Really?" I was shocked.

everyone laughed.

"What?"

"Oh my gosh. Let's just go get froyo." Colton says leading the pack.

When I got home, the first thing I did was do my homework. In my group message with Harley, Cora, Coltan, and James, we decided to add Drake.

He seems cool. Like he was super cool. And hot. But I told Cora to get him. I'm not mad. I like James a lot. Also I'm not complaining. He treats me like the queen.

"Hey, how'd your date go?" Cade asks walking in on her crutches.

"How'd you know?" I ask.

"I didn't but now I do. Spill." She sits down on my bed.

"Okay, well it was Cora, Harley, Coltan, Drake, James and I. We walked to a froyo place. Ate the froyo talked. That's it really."

"Oh, dang. And kissing?" she asked.

"No, I'm in 7th grade."

"True, who did Cora go with?"

"The new kid, Drake. He's hot too. Like really hot. But of course, I am dating James. Not that he isn't hot." I say.

"He is really hot!" Cora says looking at her phone and smiling.

"Who you texting?" Cade asks.

"I'll answer that. Drake." I say.

"Yup." he walks out of the room.

"So was it fun?"

"It was really fun. I loved it."

"that's good."

"How's Joe?" I ask.

"I don't think dad likes it."

" I bet."

"Yeah. well bye."

Cade gets up and hops out of my room.

"Drake." I hear Cora whisper.
