first & foremost,
a heart-to-heart?
I cannot begin to fathom #starlet and scars' stories are over. I feel so hollow now.
"our story is over. my story is over. yours is not." gosh, the letter haunts me, I was bawling like a baby whilst writing it.
ik u guys are mad at me. however, with a story as tragic, complex and agonising as scarlet's, with the cursed w/ madness & 'history repeats itself' subplot, it could only end this way.
linking this back to the series being named 'fatal flaw', and her incapability to escape that gruesome destiny. (I feel like a poet, what) this was an epic, adventurous, VERY LONG and utterly devastating start of the FATAL FLAW series.
as always, angst makes stories memorable, I'm looking at you— crooked kingdom. 0_0 hopefully, I was able to make you cry at least once throughout, that has always been my aim. It means I'm writing well enough.
I decided to kill off scars about a month ago but it genuinely killed me the same — pains me to say goodbye to a character I put my blood, sweat and tears into. knowing I'll never be able to write her again.
scarlet bridget will always & forever be my fav girl.

secondly, a lil secret?
I had an alternate ending planned, the same concept where she is framed as a traitor, only she is 'exposed' a few weeks before halloween whilst everyone is still alive — she'd realise she's always been an untrustworthy slytherin to sirius & her friends 'cause no one believes her.
well, only one of them believes her. she also survives in this version. I have all this written, maybe I'll share it one day!
however, I then perceived this storyline as a way to contradict my own aim & writing, this would challenge all the understanding and depth I've built, and I couldn't trade that for the sake of betrayal and unnecessary mistrust.
sirius was literally about to forgive her for being a DEATH EATER when he found out. they had issues but I dont think it would reach this extent.
i don't think someone like sirius would let her die w/o making her feel at peace, what do you think?
that sort of love never dies;. could we say it was bittersweet?? bcs it really was these two against the world in the end...?

an enormous thank you to all those you have constantly supported this book. seriously, your comments make my day and I always have an embarrassing, goofy grin on my face whenever I see the compliments and paragraphs praising my plot and writing, you never fail to make me feel proud of my work.
It's heart-warming to see my readers admiring YOUTH as much as I do, lots of love for sticking with scars' story 'til the very end; 133 chapters require a LOT of commitment, and w/o your support, none of this would be worth it.
