Part 21

Flashback continues:

It's said that if we get what our heart desires the most, it feels like rain in the desert,like monsoon in autumn. our heart feels at ease that time.

But

If something happens that we never even thought of, which shakes us to the core, even surprise seems like a small word to describe your situation.
That moment we feel as someone tore us apart.

We feels suffocating like a thik smoke surrounding us, preventing to take breath.

Something like this happened with Taehyung too. He didn't expected to see..... that happen other night. Everything changed when he saw Jungkook at the river bank.

Taehyung had thought that maybe, just maybe Jungkook would apologize to him.

There was a hope in his heart.

He had also planned not to forgive the elder for some time.But when he saw the other in such a pitiful  state, his heart broke into millions of pieces.

And without even thinking for a moment he released all the anger from his heart and forgive him.

That day neither Jungkook was in a condition to go back nor Taehyung could leave him there so he took the elder to his apartment.

It's been two days, since Jungkook's staying with Taehyung. Younger tried sometimes to make him go home but Jungkook always turned him back saying "I'm not feeling well, Tae. Can we talk later?"

It's not that Taehyung is facing any problem due to Jungkook's stay, rather he is worried about something else.

Something scary!

Jungkook's POV:

I don't have nightmares since I'm living with Taehyung. I don't want to leave his side. I know he wants me to go home but why I'll go there when all I need is him?

I know he's hiding something from me and i won't ask him any question but I'll gather every information about his restlessness. Not because i don't believe him but because I can't risk his safety.

Once again I have to apologize to him.I know he said he forgave me but it's not easy to forget what I did.

Jungkook came to apologize to Taehyung because he was going back to headquarters today.

Taehyung is checking some files in the home office.Hearing the sound of knocking on the door he said, "Come in."Hearing Younger's tired voice, Jungkook came in and slowly started walking towards Taehyung's chair.

"Oh, Jungkook. Come sit" Jungkook took the opposite side of couch and sit there looking at everywhere but Taehyung.

" Did i disturb you? "He asked not founding words to start the conversation.

"No, no it's almost done. I'm coming, just give me a minute" Tae said and resume his work.
Jungkook hummed in response and keep his gaze on younger's face who was busy in completing his work.

After a few minutes, Tae done his work and join Kook on couch. They feel peace in each others presence.

"So yo..." Jungkook spoke in the middle of sentence "I'm sorry" he keep gazing on his lap. Maybe Taehyung is still angry on me. Maybe he pitted in me so he said that he forgive me. Such thoughts occurred in his mind.

"I told you Jungkook, it wasn't your fault. Please stop blaming yourself for things you haven't done" Tae said assuring elder but a frown made his way to Jungkook's face.
" What you mean by it wasn't my fault? " Jungkook asked. Taehyung take a deep breath and keep his hand on Jungkook's, squeezing it gently.

"Please tell me what are you hid...." This time Taehyung cut him off "it wasn't CHD"

Jungkook knotted his eyebrows in confusion and tilted his head at younger's side "what do you mean?"

"It wasn't not Coronary Heart Disease I was suffering from and you were not
the main reason for my unconsciousness, that day" after hearing this, to say that Jungkook was shocked, would be an understatement.

"H-how?" He couldn't find words to describe his emotions. He wasn't sure if he heard right or just imagined things.

"It's true, Jungkook. That day, after our outing I was so happy but when Namjoon hyung got into accident and you couldn't arrange the blood, I was scared so i called for blood that hyungs stored for any emergency.
I was so lost in my thoughts that i didn't realise my surroundings. When I was exiting the main gate of the hospital, i smelled a different yet familiar smell but shrugged it off and when you came i totally forgot about that.

Your words hurted me but I wasn't angry at you because I knew you were also scared to loosing hyung.

After our argument when you were leaving, i lost my balance and gets conscious. Rest you know what happened" Taehyung explain that incident but Jungkook wasn't satisfied with the answer" but how come you get to know that it wasn't CHD? "
Jungkook asked further, he wasn't sure if he used proper words.

" Ever since I came to Korea, I was feeling a different kind of energy running in my body. I was not getting tired easily even though I was participating in outdoor activities And this was not common so i talked with Jin hyung and he thought of doing my tests again. Before he left to US, he get my blood samples and take them with him for batter check up but when he came back results were not ready and after that chaos we forget about reports.

After leaving Korea, i went to Japan. No one knew about it other than Jimin hyung and Hobi hyung. After 3 months, Jin hyung called and the news he gave us, left us bewildered. I still remember his exact words,

"TaeTae.... You reports are out and it says you don't have CHD!"

" WHAT " i couldn't believe my ears.

" Yes, Tae, your reports are negetive but we still have to do some more tests to know the reason for your symptoms. "

" Okay hyung"

Taehyung finelly look at elder and gently caress his face. Jungkook didn't close his eyes but leans into touch. Tears were running from his eyes to his cheeks.

"I'm sorry for keeping it to myself. I'm sorry for not sharing this with you, earlier. I'm sorry that you have to suffered so much because of me. I'm sorry for leaving like that. I'm sorry for not reaching to you, when you need me the most. I'm sorry for not coming earlier "Taehyung kept saying while he put his forehead against elder's.

Till now, Jungkook was crying like a child while a smile made his way to his lips. He hugged Taehyung tightly, like if he loosened the grip, younger will disappear.

No words were exchanged after this. They hold each other, close to their heart. Jungkook feels alive after listening to younger. A heavy burden left his chest and he closed his eyes, thanking the heavens to keep younger safe forgetting his own miseries,he drifted into sleep in Taehyung's embrace.

Sleep well Kook, I'm here .
