28. you, me and the stars

As they lay in each other's arms, now dressed in comfortable oversized shirts and shorts, basking in the tranquil aftermath of their passion, Nandhini's mind wandered to a place of reflection. She couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt tugging at her conscience as she thought about their recent intimate encounters.

With a soft sigh, Nandhini shifted slightly in Shubman's embrace, her brow furrowing with concern. "You know, Shubman," she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper, "I can't help but wonder if we've been... having too much sex lately."

Shubman's arms tightened around her, his expression one of surprise mixed with amusement. "Too much sex?" he echoed, a playful smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. "Is there such a thing?"

Nandhini chuckled softly, the sound tinged with self-deprecation. "I mean, don't get me wrong, I love being with you," she admitted, her voice tinged with uncertainty. "But sometimes I worry that maybe we're... I don't know, overdoing it?"

Shubman's expression softened, his gaze meeting hers with unwavering affection. "Hey, Nandhini," he murmured, his voice gentle and reassuring, "there's no such thing as too much of a good thing, especially when it comes to us."

Nandhini's lips curved into a reluctant smile, her heart warming at his words. "I guess you're right," she answered, her voice soft with gratitude. "I just don't want our relationship to be solely based on... physical intimacy, you know?"

Shubman nodded in understanding, his fingers trailing soothingly along her spine. "I get it, Nandhini," he replied, his voice filled with sincerity. "And you're right, our relationship is about so much more than just sex. It's about love, trust, and connection."

With a sense of relief washing over her, Nandhini snuggled closer to Shubman, finding solace in his comforting embrace. "I'm glad we're on the same page," she murmured, her voice tinged with affection. "I love you, Shubman."

Shubman pressed a tender kiss to her forehead, his lips lingering against her skin. "I love you too, Nandhini," he whispered, his voice filled with warmth and devotion. "More than words can say."

As the gentle rhythm of their breathing filled the room, Shubman shifted slightly, his fingers tracing lazy patterns along Nandhini's hand. With a soft chuckle, he teased, "So, does this mean you're ready for round two already?"

Nandhini playfully swatted at his chest, her laughter echoing in the quiet room. "Not so fast, mister," she replied, her voice laced with mock indignation. "I think we both need a little break after that."

Shubman feigned disappointment, his expression exaggerated as he pouted playfully. "Fine, fine," he conceded, his tone teasing. "But just so you know, I'm always ready whenever you are."Nandhini rolled her eyes with a smile, her heart swelling with affection for the man beside her.

"Oh, I have no doubt about that," she teased, her voice filled with warmth. "But for now, let's just enjoy this moment together."

With a contented sigh, Shubman pulled her closer, his arms enveloping her in a protective embrace. "Sounds perfect to me," he murmured, his voice soft with tenderness. "I could stay like this forever."

Later in the evening Shubman and Ishan approached the group of girls on the beach, their sun-kissed skin glistened in the afternoon sunlight, accentuating the contours of their muscular torsos. With confident strides, they made their way towards Nandhini and Aditi, their easy smiles lighting up their faces.

Nandhini looked up from her conversation with Aditi, her eyes widening appreciatively as she took in the sight of Shubman and Ishan's shirtless forms. "Well, look who decided to join us," she teased, a playful grin tugging at the corners of her lips.

Shubman flashed her a charming smile, his eyes twinkling with mischief as he replied, "Couldn't resist the call of the ocean, could we?"

Ishan chuckled, nodding in agreement as he added, "Besides, what's a beach day without a little fun in the sun?"

Aditi rolled her eyes at their antics, shaking her head in mock exasperation. "You boys and your water fights," she teased, her tone fond as she watched the group of boys splashing around in the waves.

Nandhini laughed, her gaze lingering on Shubman's chiseled physique. "Well, someone's gotta keep you in line," she quipped, her voice filled with playful sarcasm.

Shubman grinned at her, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Oh, I don't know about that," he replied, his tone teasing. "I think I do just fine on my own."

Ishan nudged Shubman playfully, a smirk playing on his lips. "Don't be so sure, mate," he teased, his tone laced with mock seriousness. "We all know who wears the pants in this relationship."

Shubman shot him a playful glare before turning his attention back to Nandhini, his expression softening. "Well, lucky for me, I happen to like it when you're in charge," he murmured, his voice filled with affection.

Nandhini's heart fluttered at his words, her cheeks flushing with warmth. "Smooth talker," she teased, her voice barely above a whisper.

With a gentle smile, Shubman reached out to take her hand, his touch sending shivers down her spine. "Only because it's true," he whispered, his gaze locking with hers in a silent promise of love and devotion.
As the sun began its descent, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, the group on the beach gathered around a crackling bonfire, the flickering flames casting a warm glow over their faces. Laughter and chatter filled the air as they settled in for a cozy evening under the stars.Shubman wrapped his arm around Nandhini, pulling her close as they settled onto the sand next to the fire. The crackling flames danced in his eyes as he looked at her, a soft smile playing on his lips.

Nandhini leaned into his embrace, her heart swelling with happiness as she gazed up at him. "I love moments like these," she whispered, her voice barely above a murmur.

Shubman pressed a tender kiss to her forehead, his touch gentle and reassuring. "Me too," he murmured, his voice filled with warmth. "Just you, me, and the stars."

As they sat together in comfortable silence, the sounds of the ocean mingling with the crackling of the fire, Nandhini felt a sense of peace wash over her. At that moment, surrounded by the people she loved most, she knew that she was exactly where she was meant to be.
