Pluto

4 1 2

There were nine planets in the sky

Flying up above in space

Some moved quickly, others slow

But then it never was a race

'Til one day we upon the earth

Decided we would change our tune

We took a closer look and said

"Our system ends with blue Neptune"

But many balked and frowned at this

For Pluto was dear in their hearts

They claimed there were nine planets still

And just avoided new star charts

And though it has been eighteen years

I have this bracelet that I wear

With tiny planets strung as beads

And you can bet Pluto is there

I look down at that bead and grin

Because I love how people care

About a planet they can't see

Just orbiting up in the air
