Eat my Emotions

2 1 2

I'll take sorrow with my fries

Loneliness with chicken thighs

Mix my anger with the beans

Screams along with cooked sardines

Add the shame to all the fruit

Boil grief beside beat root

Guilt pairs well with ground-up beef

Top fear with a parsley leaf

Spice regret with chopped-up thyme

Stir the envy in with lime

Bake the stress into my cake

Blend the nerves in a milk-shake

Roast the doubt close to the lamb

Brokenness can sear the spam

Steam the dread beside the clams

Spread the worry with the jams

Grate disgust in with the cheese

Blanch contempt right next to peas

Fold apathy into the dough

Pour depression on fresh snow

...

If my stomach hurts it's fine

This inner pain's a game of mine

'Cause if I eat it it's not real

And there's just good things to feel
