Eminence in Shadow

Cid Kageno pov:

I was experimenting with teleportation magic , after I realized that the cult was actually real I was in a daze for a while , but after I realized how serious this issue was I started to learn more about ancient languages and what actually was going on , to say the girls were impressive would be an understatement , they had build so much to counter the cult and I had started to pay more attention to all of them since they were carrying such a burden , it started with me giving all of them a break , going on vacations and me teaching them new things .

Well looks like the portal didn't work , it glowed for a few minutes but I was in the exact same spot , although it was night time for some reason ,did I get so involved that I forgot to keep track of time , eh whatever I will just go back to Alexandria and rest .

As I made my way to the base I saw something different about the shadow statue , did they slim it down , it looked kinda girlish before I could look further I immediately dodged a slime dagger 

"IDENTIFY YOURSELF INTRUDER" a blonde haired elf shouted , oh its Alpha

"Its me Alpha" I replied while the woman just stood there confused 

"Stop playing games if you don't  identify yourself I will kill you" I sensed around and other than the seven shades no other members were present in the vicinity so I took my hood off

"Is there something wrong Alpha, are you still mad about what happened on Monday" I sighed , man I was not in the mood

"Who are you , why do you talk like you know me" Oh she is definitely mad , well those cookies looked delicious so I ate them how would I know they were Alpha's stress relief cookies.

"I said I am sorry Alpha , I will get you another pair from Mitsugoshi when we go back to the capital, you practically own the place anyway " she however just looked at me confused 

"I have no idea how you got that information but I can't let you go now that you know so much " okay this was getting annoying 

Without any warning Alpha lunged at me ready to strike me down I however just dodged to the side , hmm she seems slower than she usually is 

Another strike was sent at me but I simply sidestepped and caught her in a hold I was sitting on top of her holding her down.

"Are you okay Alpha" I asked with a bit of concern , was she holding back to avoid injuring me , no I had always taught her to come at me with the intent to kill ,  was she injured ? I quickly let my magic wash over her but I couldn't figure out anything wrong , other than the fact her mana reserves had somehow decreased , was that even possible she was perfectly healthy . 

I immediately checked her magic signature and sure enough this Alpha , hmm could it be .This time I let some of my mana inside her and she moaned 

"A-aah w-what are you doing " ignoring her I realized what the problem was our mana wasn't compatible it could only mean one thing , the frequency was different , looks I succeeded in moving to another dimension man this was cool .

"What are you doing to lady Alpha you trash "  I blocked a kick from beta with one of my hands she tried to stab using the slime suit but I dissolved it before it could reach me ,   oh crap Beta was now naked .

I looked down to see Alpha all red faced and panting heavily , guess my mana was a little hard for her to  handle oops .

I immediately got of her and rematerialized Beta's slime suit 

"Forgive my intrusion , but can I meet your boss by any chance " I asked them as politely as they could 

"We would rather die before we let you go anywhere near lady shadow" both of them replied simultaneously
