As we stood there, catching our breath and trying to process what had just happened, Baragorn couldn't help but exclaim, "You defeated the dragon!" His mouth was wide open, his eyes were closed, and his voice was filled with a mix of shock and awe. It was almost as if he couldn't believe what he had just witnessed.

I responded with a shy smile, rubbing the back of my neck with my hand. "Yeah, I guess I did." My voice was barely above a whisper, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of disbelief myself. I mean, I had just defeated a dragon - a feat that most people could only dream of achieving. And yet, here I was, a mere nine-year-old kid, standing victorious over the body of a creature that had terrorized the land for so long.

The others slowly emerged from their hiding spots, their faces filled with various emotions. Some looked impressed, some looked scared, and others looked confused. I couldn't blame them, though. After all, I was just a kid, and the fact that I had single-handedly taken down a powerful dragon was pretty surreal.

Felix, the prince, was one of the first to approach me. He gave me a nod of approval, but I could tell he was still trying to wrap his head around what had just happened. Draco, on the other hand, was beaming with pride. He had always believed in me, even when everyone else doubted me. And Sin-to-Nah, the elder elf, well, he just shook his head in disbelief. I couldn't tell if he was impressed or disappointed, but I knew he had expected more from me.

As the reality of the situation started to sink in, Baragorn began to ramble on excitedly. "Do you know what this means? You're a hero! A true hero! The prophecy must be true - you're the chosen one!"

I couldn't help but chuckle at his enthusiasm. "Well, I wouldn't go that far," I said, trying to deflect the attention away from myself. "I just did what needed to be done."

But Baragorn wouldn't let up. "No, no, no! This is huge! We have to tell everyone about this! The kingdom will be thrilled to hear about your victory!"

I sighed, feeling a bit overwhelmed by everything. I didn't want to be the center of attention, but I knew that was exactly what was going to happen.

Just then, Edvin, my trusty (or not-so-trusty) guardian, appeared from nowhere. "What's all the commotion about?" he asked, suspiciously eyeing the dragon's corpse.

I rolled my eyes. "I defeated the dragon, Edvin. Can you please just leave me alone for once?"

He raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised by my request. "Oh, come on, Master Ember. Don't be like that. Your parents hired me to protect you, and that's exactly what I'm going to do."

I groaned, feeling frustrated. Why did my parents insist on hiring someone like Edvin to watch over me? Didn't they realize that I was perfectly capable of taking care of myself?

Baragorn approached me, his towering figure loomed large, casting a shadow over the surrounding landscape. His broad shoulders and piercing blue eyes seemed to bore into my very soul, and his words, though few, carried a weight that was impossible to ignore.

"It was nice knowing you," he said, his deep voice low and gravelly. "But now, I think you should keep on moving."

There was a hint of sadness in his tone, a tinge of regret that hung in the air like a shroud. It was clear that he didn't want to be the bearer of bad news, but he felt it necessary nonetheless.

I nodded silently I took a deep breath and nodded, signaling to the others that it was time to move out. They acknowledged my signal with grim expressions, their faces set with determination.

Finally Were back home this was wild ride but now it's finally come to an end I went to the leader's grave and revived him I still don't know why I agreed to revive him it was probably because if I denied it they would you know attack again and we would perish so not a good idea but now we're sailing home and guess what the elves and humans have a peace treaty now and the Elves are coming to live with the humans! but there are a few people who are still scared of the elves but it is what it is

I stood in front of our mansion, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over me. We had finally made it back home, and I had managed to revive the leader of the elves. It had been a wild ride, filled with danger and uncertainty, but it was finally over.

I opened the door and entered the mansion, looking around at the familiar surroundings. Everything was exactly as we had left it, except for the addition of a few new decorations and the faint smell of smoke in the air.

"Hey, is anyone here?" I called out, my voice echoing through the empty halls. "Your son is back home from a wild goose chase which could have killed me!" I added, my voice dripping with sarcasm.

I walked through the house, checking each room until I finally found my father sitting in his study, surrounded by stacks of papers and books. He looked up as I entered, a look of surprise on his face. As soon as my dad saw me, he dropped everything and sprinted towards me like a madman. I braced myself for impact, but instead of tackling me to the ground, he wrapped his arms around me and squeezed me so tightly that I thought I was going to turn into a human pancake.

"Ugh... I-n-need... AIR!" I tried to say, but my words were muffled by my dad's crushing embrace. My lungs were burning, and my vision was starting to blur, but he refused to let go.

I tried to squirm free, but he had me locked in a vice grip. I was starting to feel like a prisoner in a particularly aggressive hug. I mean, I get it, he missed me, but seriously, could he please try to kill me with a little less enthusiasm?

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, he released me from his grasp. I collapsed onto the floor, gasping for air like a fish out of water. My dad looked down at me with a huge grin on his face, completely oblivious to the fact that he had nearly suffocated me.

"Welcome back, son!" he said, giving me a friendly pat on the back. "I missed you, man!"

I glared up at him, still trying to catch my breath. "Next time, just stick to a regular hug, okay? No need to try and crush my ribcage."

He laughed and helped me up to my feet. "Sorry, son. I guess I got a little carried away."

Carried away? That was like saying a tornado was a gentle breeze. But hey, at least he was excited to see me. I just hoped that next time, he wouldn't try to hug me to death. but after all, I was home.
