A song by Zechariah the prophet. After the fall of Babylon. When the Temple of Zerubbabel was being built in Jerusalem.

1
El Jah,
Creator of rock and star.
You love it when we worship you,
And every little thing you do.
It make us feel euphoric too.

2
You give us all the wherewithal,
To build again your capital,
Jerusalem, and lead us all,
The lost and found, back home.
The way it was in olden days,
When Solomon was on the throne.

3
You fix up every broken heart the lord of sin abuses.
Heal our aching flesh and bones, our gashes and our bruises.

4
All the stars, you know by name.
You made the sky, their pictureframe.

5
Your might is potent and efficient.
You know it all, Jah. You're omniscient.

6
You know all we've done and had.
So bless the good and curse the bad.

7
We, the good, sing songs to you.
Play music on our lyres too.

8
You dress the sky in a cloudy gown.
For the parched earth, send raindrops down.
Spread grassy mats across the ground.

9
Lush fodder for the cows and sheep.
Seeds to make the birdies cheep.

10
You care not for the strongest horse.
The fastest lap around the course.
Such things mean zip to he who built the stars.

⭐️
You just care we love you.
Enough to obey.
To shun all you hate.
To do all you say.

12
Sacred city, holy hill!
Cheer for El and feel the thrill!

13
He bars your gates like a faithful lady.
With one god's kids locked in her belly.

14
Makes peace with foreign gods for keeps.
Fills your barns with heaps of wheat.

15
He speaks, and all things start or stop.
A bud will bloom. A stone will drop.

16
He tells white wool on sheep to grow.
Tells clouds to wrap the world in snow.

17
Hurls hail at the young and old.
Who can stand the bitter cold?

18From his lips, warm winds blow

18
From his lips, warm winds blow.
Melting snow.
So rivers flow.

19
Visions in his prophets glow.
Teachings for you lucky ones.
Scions of twelve handpicked sons.

20
Won't do it for just anyone.
Just us know how things is run,
By he who built the moon and sun!
