(18) The truth revealed

Jungkook stared at the message he received from taehyung.

"What's wrong?"

He heard jimin ask

"Oh um...Nothing...It's just my friend said he had to leave because of some work."

Jimin nodded, Understanding

"It's alright. We can maybe meet some other day hopefully"

Jungkook gave him a small smile

"So, little bean...What would you like to have?"

He asked turning his attention towards Taemin.

"Mmm Ice cream!"

The small boy exclaimed with a smile making jungkook chuckle

"You're so cute"

Kook pinched his cheeks

They spent the rest of the time together.

Laughing and chatting about some silly things.

Taemin had been having a great time, but as the day wore on, he started to get tired.

"Jimin, I think Taemin needs a nap,"

Jungkook said, looking at the little boy who was starting to rub his eyes.

"Yeah, you're right. He usually takes a nap around this time,"

Jimin said, picking up his son.

"I think we should leave now."

Jungkook wanted to spend some more time with them but it was already evening.

He cared about their safety so he didn't insist.

As they walked out of the restaurant, Jimin smiled at Jungkook

"Thank you for today. Taemin had a great time"

"No problem,"

Jungkook said, smiling back.

"I had a great time too."

Today, After talking about their favorite movies and music. Jimin was surprised at how much they had in common.

He had only met Jungkook a day ago, but he already felt like they were good friends.

Both the males stood outside the restaurant, waiting for the cab.

Taemin stirred in his sleep.

Jungkook leaned down to look at him

"Hey buddy,"

he said softly, stroking Taemin's hair.

"Did you have a good nap?"

Taemin rubbed his eyes and yawned.

"I'm sleepy,"

he said,

Jungkook offered to hold him while they waited.

Taemin snuggled up against Jungkook's chest, feeling safe and warm.

As they waited, Jungkook looked down at Taemin and asked,

"Why does Taemin call you his eomma?"

Jimin felt a pang of discomfort in his chest.

He hadn't told Jungkook about his past, and he wasn't sure he was ready to share it yet.

But he knew he couldn't keep it a secret from everyone forever. He needed to let things out and communicate with someone.
