Chapter 16 | run

I woke up but it was dark outside, I must've slept for a while for it to be this dark as it was only lunch when I had went to bed, I got up anyway and combed my hair out letting it stay loose before going outside.

a small breeze hit my skin and it was so refreshing from my room that was all clammy from the heat being trapped inside of it. As I walked I felt an immense burning sensation as my trousers rubbed against my thigh, people were already eating dinner so I assumed most of the food was already gone, I wasn't hungry anyway.

I kept walking trying to ignore the burning pain on my thigh, I spotted newt sat on a table which was rather full, thomas, Jeff, Clint, minho and Matthew all sat there.

luckily 1 spare seat in between thomas and newt was free, and I walked over to the table and took a seat, everyone greeted me and carried on speaking.

As I sat down I scrunched my face up a bit from the pain, but no one said anything. When I finally sat down I pulled my trousers off the cuts and it hurt so badly I couldn't help but make a face, I quickly realized what I had done and when I looked up no one had noticed... apart for thomas who mouthed are you okay to me with a concerned look and pointed at his thigh to ask if my thigh was alright, I shrugged my shoulders and smiled a bit at him but he didn't let it go.

I noticed thomas nudge Jeff who sat next to him and he motioned towards me and then whispered something to him, I immediately looked away from them both once I saw them kook my way and bumped into newt a but hitting my arm

Great how could this evening get any worse, why thomas had to tell Jeff I had no idea and hitting my wrist that had fresh cuts on newt of all people...

he turned to look at me, confused why I hit him my face went red from embarrassment.

"sorry I was moving closer to you because I was cold I didn't mean to hit you love.." I said hoping I hadn't annoyed him, but he only laughed before wrapping an arm around me, and with the other he placed in my thigh rubbing it

why did he have to make a move now and there of all places...as much as I loved it I didn't want him to find out although I was sure thomas or Jeff would blabber to them..

After a while newt let go off my thigh and a few of the people had left and put their plates away, Jeff thomas and newt were the only ones that hadn't left yet and the tension between me and thomas was so high. Just then newt got up to put his plate away.

"I'm gonna out my plate back flora wanna come with m-"

"we'll come with you newt" said thomas jumping up Jeff following close behind him, I didn't want them to tell him so I stood up holding onto my thigh.

"I'll come aswell then...don't wanna be all alone" I said trying to make them laugh only me and newt did Jeff and Clint weren't impressed and new what I was doing.

"you sure you aren't tired flora? you look tired, maybe you should go to sleep" thomas said quickly but I snapped back

"I had a nap earlier when I left the med hut ask newt and Jeff I went back to my hut" I said kinda smug now walking closer to newt as we were still walking to put his plate back, newt was looking at us 3 confused.

"and is that all you did flora." Jeff said butting in, my smile dropped for a second and my face turned red but it was too dark to see.

"how about you guys stop questioning me, jesus christ.." I walked away to my hut, angry at there attempts to out me to newt.
