Courtney was a sweet girl but a bit of nerd. She was somehow friends with the most popular girl in the school. This popular treated her awful, but Courtney stuck around anyway, always in her friend's shadow. (Kinda like Chloe and Sabrina from Miraculous).
She eventually found out that her family had demon ancestry and she soon learned to harness the powers of the demon blood inside her. She would blend into the shadows...and then...she dragged her cruel friend into the shadows, trapping her forever as a shadow destined to silently wander the world.
Now Courtney does the same to anyone who dares leave someone in their shadows, turning the tables on those who think so highly of themselves, making them learn what it's like to be stuck in the shadows of others.
