Loss of yourself

In the depths of silence, a hollow sigh, A fading echo of a self gone by. Lost within the labyrinth of your mind, A self you once knew, now hard to find.

The mirror reflects an unfamiliar face, A soul adrift in an empty space. The essence that once burned so bright, Now dims, obscured by endless night.

Gone are the dreams that used to soar, Replaced by doubts that tug and roar. A puzzle scattered, pieces astray, In the midst of a never-ending fray.

Yet even as you wander lost and low, A spark remains, a ember's glow. For deep within, a whisper calls, A memory of self, the walls it sprawls.

With each step forward, each tear shed, You gather fragments of the self that's fled. Piece by piece, you'll find your way, Guided by hope's resolute ray.

Though loss may linger, and shadows fall, You'll rise anew, standing tall. For in the journey of loss and strife, You'll discover the strength to reclaim your life.
