That day at school, everyone was given a chick to monitor for school.
"Hey!" I shout through to mom as I get home. I had walked home from the bus stop myself as Rory was with Dean.
"Hey. Good, I'm just about to leave." Mom states
"Where are you going?" I ask
"To Luke's. We're picking out paint colours tonight, so it's gonna be hours of yes, no, yes, no, until my world famous perseverance wears him down and then he winds up in a ball on the floor crying like a girl. Wanna come watch?" mom replies
"I'm house sitting, remember?" I remind mom
"Yeah, but you have to eat. Come have a burger." Mom suggests
"Okay, I will." I say as I come out the chick on the kitchen table, I'm front of mom.
"What is that?" Mom questions
"A chick, for school." I respond
"Oh, he's so cute! What's his name?"
"Case study number 7." I state
"Is that hyphenated?" Mom asks. "Honey, he's adorable he should have a name."
"I'm not bonding with my midterm, thank you." I explain
"Alright, I'll name him. Hi. Your name is Stanley. Hi Stanley." Mom says
"Note for myself, do not put mom in charge of naming these two." I say and put a hand on the top of my bump. "Speaking of these two, they have not stopped kicking at all today."
"Have they? They're like you then." Mom says and rubs her hand on my bump.
"Oh, its a girl." I explain and sit down next to mom.
"Oh, sorry about the Stanley thing. Your name is Stella. Stella's nice and Stella was married to Stanley." Mom state s
"Stella is nice." I agree with mom
"See, I can Name babies nice names." Mom points out
"I'm gonna leave the chick here tonight, so the kitten doesn't get any ideas. She's already fed and if she gets too loud, just put her in my room. I'll call you later." I explain and kiss mom on the head before leaving.
"Hold on." I tell the kitten as I make its food. It is so cute.
"There you go. Meow if you need anything else." I say and stroke it.
I then sit down and start homework but then I decided to call Tristan to come here.
"Hey baby." I say
"Hi babe."
"I am house sitting for my neighbours, they just got a new kitten, and wanted to see if you could come." I suggest
"Yeah, I'll be there in half an hour." He tells me
"Okay, thank you. I love you."
"I love you too."
Just then there was a knock at the door.
"Hi Tori." Rory said as I open the door.
"Hey Rory, what are you doing here?" I ask
"You know how Dean commented on the Donna reed show?"
"Yeah..." I Start, not knowing where she was going with this.
"Well, I What to make him a fancy dinner, like Donna reed." She explains. "And I cant do it anywhere else, except from here."
"Okay, well, I guess I'll go home then. Unless, you need any help?" I ask
