Alessandra quickly gets in Emmett's car, but notices how her partner's hands are shaking. The girl grabs Edward's cheeks, and, without thinking, joins their lips in a kiss, which he returns immediately.
Edward takes the girl by the waist, moving his lips, feeling how the anger and worry slowly disappear. Alessandra receives a slight bite on her lower lip, making her gasp.
-Y-You feeling b-better? - She whispers, panting. Edward stares at her, nodding before kissing her again. Alli returns the kiss for a few seconds, until they both pull away. The guy closes closes the door while the girl buckles her seatbelt. He gets in the car, turning it on. - I got away from my crazy and abusive ex, and now I'm being followed by a fucking killer who wants my blood. - Alessandra complains, nervously playing with her hair.
-James is a tracker. That's his obsession. I read his mind. - Edward speaks, trying to forget James's disgusting thoughts. - My reaction at the field provoked him. I just made this his life's most exciting game. This'll never end.
The girl looks back at him, fearful.
-What? - The vampire grips the steering wheel, thinking about different ways of killing James.
-We'll have to kill him. Rip him apart and burn the pieces. - Alessandra nods slowly, feeling nauseous after hearing such words.
-W-Where are we going? - The brown-haired asks, scared.
-Away from Forks. - She nods, her mind full of thoughts.
-We cannot go to your house. He'll trace my scent. - The girl whispers.
-We'll grab some things before leaving. We must be fast. - Edward quickly parks the car when being in front of the Cullen household.
The couple gets out at the same time, heading to Alessandra's bedroom to pack everything. The girl runs throughout the entire room, looking for all the essentials, until stopping on her tracks, remembering her grandmother's necklace.
-I can get out of here. - She whispers, making her partner turn to her. - I can return to my reality with my grandma's necklace.
-No. Ethan might follow you if he's there. - Edward denies immediately.
-In any of the two realities I'm threatened by a psycho. - The brown-haired complains, opening a drawer, taking the necklace out.
-It'll be a final option. If we don't finish James tonight, you'll go to your reality. - He assures, finishing packing stuff. Alessandra nods slowly and approaches Edward while putting the necklace on. They both prepare a small suitcase with some change of clothes. Alli stares at him, who grabs her cheeks tenderly, but his expression shows worry and regret. - I'm so sorry about this. You're in danger because of me. - He caresses his soulmate's cheeks, who half-smiles at him.
